SympathysSilhouette
Best superhero show on TV. Well, I think I would rank Invincible just as high. But everything else is playing for second place.

The Boys is the only superhero stuff I'm into, mainly because it poops on the genre lol.
SympathysSilhouette
Well both play with genre conventions. And both Omniman and Homelander use a concept that is older, which is "what if Superman was evil?". But The Boys tone is lighter and more irreverent. I see Invincible as an evolution of the Superman concept, it is much wider in scope. I would have preferred an adult (rather than a boy) as the main character though. The Boys' comic had an insane ending and if the show survives, it will too.
Cult Icon
I don't like how they made Billy Butcher so powerful and Homelander less dominant. In the comic he knows that Homelander can easily tear him limb from limb and doesn't engage. Billy butcher is more like an in-between superperson, he's better than most superheroes in hand to hand fighting but lacks superpowers. A big appeal of the comic was how insane and demi-god like Homelander was compared to the other superheroes. This framework was very important for the series. So it gave the "boys" an underdog/resistance fighter vibe. They had to hide from and outsmart this monster.

Cult Icon
Stormfront was very different in the comics (he was a he for the first part). Ditto for Soldier boy. The Soldier boy in the show is a lot better than the one in the comics, I wish they did more with him. Probably my favorite character right now. I think they hired the wrong actress for Stormfront. She looks completely wrong for the part. They could have gotten a tall/athletic, Evil-hot blonde who looks like a younger version of Ilsa: She wolf of the SS:

PinkCouture
So...Father and son slept with the same woman. Is there a term for that?
