It’s starting to look like you can be Christian or MAGA, but not both.

EDIT: Since this is a very controversial thing to say, I’ll explain what I mean. If the Pope is appealing to the Gospel and Trump is rejecting it, then from a Christian perspective there comes a point where you have to ask yourself which authority matters more.

EDIT2: Another example of what I mean: Hegseth was talking about the Iran war like it had 'God’s blessing' and then the Pope stated that, 'God does not bless any conflict'. Trump’s interpretation of that is that the Pope wants Iran to have a nuclear weapon.

Overall, without any sign of Iranian regime change this war looks more and more like the Trump regime & US Navy is just enacting Pentagon/CIA/think tank & Project 2025/MAGA policy strategies of 'containing' China while putting huge pressure Asian countries, even allies Japan & South Korea, and also disrupting some of Russia's trade routes.

Using the US navy as a mafia enforcement, Trump will use the bad situation as leverage in future talks against both competitors and allies in a mafia shake-down.

Trump is supposed to talk to Xi in a few weeks IIRC.

This administration has completely betrayed the rules-based international order, international law, rules of engagement, etc and just uses the military as an accomplice in international crime.
