    1. War with Iran has been an key obsession with defense-industry funded think tanks and US military brass that lobby for as much war as possible professionally. This is why Iran is encircled with heavily armed bases. Besides that War with China and Russia is also a key obsession and they believe that the Rise of China will be weakened if the US dominates the Middle East, as China is a world trade based nation that imports energy, food, and raw materials because China itself is resource poor.

    2. The rapid decline and credibility of the US on the world stage as a supposed military superpower- The Venezuela action and other acts of violence are also an attempt to prove to the world that America still has the means to impose great violence and destruction to get whatever it wants.

    3. American nationalists, most of them poor or middle class, that want the American empire to last for a thousand years and voted for Trump to make this happen.

    4. Trump appears to be the puppet of these forces.

    This is not only an attack on Iran, but also on China.

    Iran promised to double the daily missile strikes

    Widespread Censorship of videos/pictures claiming destroyed US assets is now starting on twitter and will likely further. This is like Ukraine where the thousands of images/videos of wiped out Ukrainians, NATO hardware, and destruction of Ukraine gets censored so the West can't see it.

    The Iranians are destroying US THAAD radars, radar domes, Patriot batteries and other high value assets. A collection of material from last week on Telegram claims over $3 billion dollars of losses. Worse, US production of these assets are extremely low volume and they constitute an irreplaceable short-intermediate term loss. The Iranians appear to be trying to make the US as blind as possible in the GCC countries so they can't intercept the missiles with AA.

    There is also footage of shaheed drones hunting down American troops sleeping in hotels outside of US military bases.

    I would hope that the US can extract itself that easily but I'm not so sure. The IRGC is very angry, and US bases envelop Iran. They are sitting ducks.

    If they indeed have some sort of exit strategy from this sh**f***ery, I doubt Iran is going to escalate immediately. They might rather spend years planning a revenge strategy and attack when nobody expects it. I really hope that’s not the case, but these types of delayed retaliatory hits are not uncommon.
