Emotion and reason are both important. Traditionally and instinctively (it's wired in our hormones), men tend to have stronger rational thinking and weaker emotional thinking. It's the opposite for women.

But today, where the feminine logic is celebrated, it's very imbalanced, people are too emotional and way less rational. This unbalance is true for both men and women.

But I ramble on again....

I think MJ ruined the issue long before she became obsessed with "activism through Swimsuit Issue". But it certainly made things worse.

But even before that became too much of a thing we had stuff like the bullshit of putting Beyoncé on the cover.

I find Nicole really attractive (looks like a robust, just as tall version of Elsa Hosk) but I checked her out recently and found that the onlyfans/twitch world has completely corrupted her.  She does degrading things for money.  She even does lesbian softcore.  Also she is thicc now, gained about 35 pounds.

I think she did a good job running SI until the activism started creeping it.  And finally it took over the magazine and it's junk now.

TBH in the 2000s-2010s the photography and videos were borderline softcore porn.  (except clothed or covered).

The model that SI used to choose (before the downfall) were exceptional. Beautiful faces (eyes, smiles, etc.) and perfect bodies (ver fit with usually bosoms shaped like stately mountains)... Like Kate Upton, Lauren Mellor, Hannah Ferguson... These women are legends (and all of them have sweet personalities too)

The fashion world in the 1980s-late 1990s (prior to that I am less familiar) was elitist. At its peak you have the supermodels that were very 'elite' and had a superhuman appearance.

Now the fashion world is basically socialist and has a 'modern art' aesthetic.  Which is basically shit imho.

Elitism was good. They chose models with super genetic, but they also had to have a discipline: eating, sports (to get tonic and firm bodies), moving their bodies in spaces, transmitting emotions. These women were deserving and worthy of attention.

Socialism in modelling is a result of neo-feminism. Just like harsh capitalism for men in romantic relationships is a result of neo-feminism. Their views of the world is to protect the precious eggs at all costs, whereas abundant "swimmers" are scorned and must do exceptional things to exist in their eyes.

Socialism for women makes a lot of them lazy. Not just models. Statistically, this increases the number of mediocre women (specially younger women), who have high expectations and low willpower, while lots of young men are discouraged by the disproportionate efforts they got to bring for disappointing results.

I'm pretty sure this is highly unsustainable and this won't last long. The cost to pay for those who got fooled by this will probably be high though.
