I mean, there was this nasty blind item which is believed to be about Weinstein offering Lively big roles in exchange for 'casting couch' like he did years ago with Gretchen Mol....ew. The sad thing is the majority of people misread it that Blake agreed, while it was explained he was offering but she didn't agree.

I know right, that was the blind item that destroyed her reputation right there because people chose to misread it and Lainey never bothered to set people straight. Afterwards, it was all like Blake Lively was sleeping with people for roles, no matter what roles she got or however thankless they are. I think people's main gripe with her has to do with jealousy tbqh, that and crazy Leighton Meester stans That's what made me start disliking Lainey intensely, right there.

People like you make me scared to be a woman, by all indications a young and ambitious woman was victimized when her set of private pics were stolen and published to the internet and you have the audacity to suggest that it was her own doing. It just reeks of sexism if you think the only way she can afford to get ahead is by using her body/nude pics, her star was already ascendant without this. If you don't have anything nice to say, be a class act and don't say anything at all. There are so many things wrong about your assumptions of me and my statement. So take a deep breath and chill out and allow me to elaborate.

First of all, I am the very first person to call out misogyny, internalized misogyny, and sexism when I see it. I firmly believe that society is a sexist machine that never allows a woman to be anything other than a sexual object, and I find that truly disgusting. In fact, I am so adamant about women's rights and the perception and roles of women in society that I get in into arguments daily about it. I excuse you for assuming that I am the sort of person who makes you scared to be a woman, because I fight for our rights daily and you didn't even know it. I actually started a thread about a topic pertaining to women's rights a couple months ago, so forgive me if I brush off your assumption to plain ignorance of my person.

Secondly, I don't think that is the only way a woman can get ahead in the industry, I think SHE allowed her publicist to make that decision for her. Obviously, as a fan of hers you'd never think something like of her, but as someone who has no real interest in her as an actress I look at it through my own unbiased eyes.

My opinion stems from the fact that it is highly suspicious that there is a media whirlwind about her dating Leo and her movie is about to come out, and then OOPS guess WHAT ELSE IS HAPPINGING!?! Could I be wrong? Of course, I can. But that doesn't stop it from my opinion. I genuinely think this a PR stunt and if she was okay with her publicist leaking her pics, then she should reap the benefits. If this is in fact not a PR stunt, then I feel bad for her. Lets assume these pictures were leaked, now lets assume (goddamn assumptions!) that a male leaked them... Okay. What do they gain? Satisfaction at doing it? Wouldn't they know that this would garner her more attention anyway? I think she has more to gain (sadly) no matter who leaked them. Because of her ambition, I see her doing it herself. Unless someone was a wiz at photoshop and/or there is an identical twin out there it looks like it is her. Perhaps she took the photos herself for some private use and they leaked or something. Expletives don't negate opinion or cancel out personal logic. I am of the firm belief that words hold the power you give them, and I used them haphazardly because I was no longer trying to prove a point or explain anything of too much importance. Since I saw the 1st pics a couple of days ago I also think it's too obvious it's her, though I doubt she has sent them somewhere or they were leaked by someone.

Hackers can easily get the contents of any iPhone nowadays, so I believe that's probably what happened.

Its a shame this had to happen to her, but I'm over it. Doesn't make me think any less of her, and she seems to be handling it very nicely. And this person who is releasing these pics, weather there really her or not, are very scummy
