The talismanic Juventino is looking to extend his contract in Turin until 2010, but has been angered by the Old Lady’s offer of a deal expiring in 2009 at a reduced salary, according to Tuttosport. The 32-year-old has overcome recent injury problems and shone in early pre-season friendlies, but now his future is shrouded in mystery. While his current agreement runs until July 2008, it could be costly for the Cadetti champions to fall out with such an influential player in the dressing room. Pinturricchio’s agent and brother Stefano is set to meet with Juve director general Jean-Claude Blanc again to try and increase the current annual wage proposal of around £3m.
