Dear friends, there are moments in life where sentiments are very deep and difficult to express. The baby Sonia is expecting is for us a joyous moment which will improve our lives immensely. We do not intend to speak much about this event because for us it is a very personal matter. We wish you all well. Alessandro and Sonia

Alex talks in crisis

Wednesday 8 August, 2007

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus captain Alessandro Del Piero’s contract renewal talks are reportedly at crisis point after tense discussions on Tuesday.

The talismanic Juventino is looking to extend his contract in Turin until 2010, but has been angered by the Old Lady’s offer of a deal expiring in 2009 at a reduced salary, according to Tuttosport.

The 32-year-old has overcome recent injury problems and shone in early pre-season friendlies, but now his future is shrouded in mystery.

While his current agreement runs until July 2008, it could be costly for the Cadetti champions to fall out with such an influential player in the dressing room.

Pinturricchio’s agent and brother Stefano is set to meet with Juve director general Jean-Claude Blanc again to try and increase the current annual wage proposal of around £3m.
