When they got married the gossip was they were only dating a few weeks but in an interview Emily said they have known each other for years. Now the gossip is that he's a serial cheater or womanizer. I wonder if that was the gossip when they got married. At any rate, the break-up is no surprise.

August 30, 20222 yr LOL! People were actually joking he'd do this after she turned 25. I didn't think it would actually happen.

August 31, 20222 yr He's like the real life version of that old apocryphal Hugh Hefner story. Fifty-something Hefner chatting up a playmate, wanting to get her into his bed. The girl then telling him, "I never had sex with anyone over 24." To which Hefner deadpanned "Neither have I." But with Leo it might actually be real.

But with Leo it might actually be real. with Hugh Hefner I kind of understand the playboy thing as it's part of his brand. Leo could just drop the pretenses and be a bachelor & be with many different women. What I've never seen is a theory on why he rents these beautiful women for 1-5 years. Seems like a series of wasted investments. He also drops them when they are young enough to find another partner, potentially husband material. That's actually nice of him. If he dated only women ages 30-35, that would be bad.
August 31, 20222 yr I think it's more about him tiring of them than any nice reason for dumping them!

I think there is some sort of mutually agreed upon exchange. His reputation trails him. Any woman that is close to Leo gets a lot of publicity and her career prospects improve a bit. They get a lot of connections. Like being his girlfriend is some kind of stepping stone LOL. Erin Heatherton didn't seem to profit too much though.
August 31, 20222 yr None of them really did? Gisele was already an established name and then married NFL royalty after getting out of the Leo train. Bar Refaeli sort of went into obscurity after he dumped her. Erin Heatherton left the modeling business disillusioned with it not too long after their break-up. Blake Lively quickly moved on with Ryan Reynolds. I don't think he dated Kelly Rohrback long enough to make any sort of impact. I'm guessing few people even know they dated! Nina too didn't really get a huge career boost from her relationship, like many other girls on his list of conquests, she was probably already past her career peak when they broke up. As for Cami, she might have benefited from his aura, but she didn't need his Hollywood connections since her step dad is Al Pacino.
August 31, 20222 yr Leo's lifestyle is extremely social, and he hangs around people with influence. Gisele, Bar, Blake, Cami definitely benefited to varying degrees (modeling careers and acting). Kelly got married soon after, Nina is well connected and moves around in high society, obviously trying to find Richy-Rich. Erin is the most beautiful one to me but didn't benefit much.
September 1, 20222 yr Cami had her step dad to launch her acting career. Al Pacino is acting royalty! Gisele I think was already a well-paid model even when they just started dating. Bar's career definitely deflated after her relationship with Leo ended. She also settled down with her older beau not that much longer, IIRC.
September 1, 20222 yr @Cult Icon BTW, had no idea until your post that Kelly had married one of the Walton family heirs. These girls don't miss when they go husband-hunting. 😛
September 1, 20222 yr On that note, didn't she also briefly date Baywatch co-star Jon Bass. After Rodgers but I guess before she met her husband.

Bar from what I remember on the BZ thread is a celebrity in Israel and still is, and she is still modeling even though she's overaged.
