So basically, GRRM got distracted from Winds by 1. needing to write 4 minor books 2. 1 major book (Fire and Blood) 3. pitching for spin-off TV shows like the new Jon Snow series and House of the Dragon. According to the video, he is about 2/3rds done with the book. I'd give him less than 5 years to finish as I doubt that his spin off shows will succeed.
