Great news: Doutzen's name is back on the Platform Agency website.

 

If I remember correctly DNA had never taken it, but it is still unavailable on the Viva website... I think this is a sign that she's available for new work. I hope she has plenty of opportunities, this will be a trial by fire for her after so many things said!

Edit: MDC updated her profile image (looks like new digital) and removed Viva from agencies.

Hopefully, that means she is already working on things that we don't know about yet, and we can expect to see her new work in early 2024, possibly even as early as January!! If she really starts working in January, it will take months before it is released.

I've been thinking... DNA and Viva are excellent agencies, but if we stop to analyze some details, they barely did anything for her as a high fashion model, unlike Women Milano who managed several IMPORTANT campaigns and shows for Doutzen in Italy. I'm not complaining, because I know that on the other hand they got the biggest contracts of her career (Victoria's Secret, Calvin Klein and L'Oréal) and of course some relevant covers (Vogue USA/Paris, Elle, Harper's Bazaar and Numéro), but she hardly does shows in NY anymore, she doesn't have any relevant main collection campaign from US brands and the most relevant brand it has campaigned in France is perhaps Balmain (?).

The success of a model is not based on US campaigns. Why do you say that at all? Balmain is much much better than any US campaign...lol.

And should she do shows in New York? The main fashion capitals are Paris and Milan and it will remain like that forever. She did enough US stuff in her career. And why are we even mentioning the nationality of the work she does at all? It does not matter at all as long as she poses for beautiful photos. Her European magazine covers are much much better! And she is from Europe after all.

Perhaps she is actually getting the majority of her jobs through DNAmodels. It would not be wise to leave agencies that are providing her with good work. However, it is also possible that DNA is primarily or solely focused on securing high-paying jobs.

 

I'm not very happy with these digitals ... they look okay. After a very very very long break, she still looks a bit lifeless in her eyes in these digitals and her pupils don't look normal/round. Her pupils one these pictures are very small and not round! Hopefully just bad photography/light.

I'm not saying that she depends on this to be successful, I'm just noticing that she had more success as a high fashion model with brands in Italy, while other agencies in other countries didn't achieve this.

I think Doutzen was in Mexico a (few) week(s) ago together with Jetteke van Lexmond. I saw it on Jetteke's Instagram stories. They were in some kind of spa, and Doutzen was seen in the photos. This trip took place after their big trip to the Maldives (I believe it was the Maldives). It didn't seem like they were in Mexico for work.

 

Perhaps she is having a facial peel, or she might already be working on projects for 2024, or it could simply be that she is not active on Instagram.

Doutzen was 34 or 35 at the time when she suddenly stopped working because of Corona and she is still too young to retire and do nothing. It gets boring! Plus, her children are older now, with one even in high school, so it makes sense that she's ready to return to work and see all her (old) friends again. She's still able to work because she is a timeless + natural beauty.

 

I'm really curious to see what opportunities come her way in 2024. Hopefully she'll have some exciting projects lined up!
