And obviously, we want to party with you! What better way to pay homage to the Queen than with an open invitation to her fans to get their groove on and ReINVENT their favorite Madonna hits in anticipation of the release of CELEBRATION? September 10, 200915 yr Madonna lights Sabbath candles with Israel PMMadonna joined the Israeli prime minister and his family Friday in the traditional ritual welcoming the Jewish Sabbath. A statement from from the prime minister's office says the singer spent two hours with Bejamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara at their home lighting candles and reciting a blessing together. Although not Jewish, the 51-year-old pop star claims a special bond with Israel and Jewish tradition. She's been exploring Kabbalah, a form of Jewish mysticism, for more than a decade and has taken the Hebrew name, Esther. She arrived in Israel on Sunday and performed in Tel Aviv on Tuesday and Wednesday. She was wearing a short-sleeved black dress as she left the heavily guarded Netanyahu home Friday.
