There seems to be a lot of handwaving in that corner, trying to seek attention to their own theory by taking the shit out of evolutionary biology with every chance it gets. Of all the believers in Intelligent Design, I don't think I've actually met one who has credited evolutionary biology for all it's explanatory power, especially compared to Intelligent Design which says something along the lines of 'someone/thing created life, then evolution occured' Fair enough, they can spot out specific creatures that are supposedly designed, but they don't ever give an account of life in general. Their theories seem vacuous, as they don't seem to give much evidence for their beliefs ( I mean this from a scientific point of view, not religious), they just decide to question the shortcomings of evolutionary biology by posing rhetorical questions and hoping that somehow that sidesteps the burden of proof. Until ID has some more solid support and theories, I don't think I'd consider it as a competitor to evolutionary theory. At the end of the day, the explanatory power and the theoretical breadth and depth of evolutionary biology just wipes ID off the table. Days later, life appeared in the air-tight flask, proving that (somehow) spontaneous generation of life can occur. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I have read a bit about that weird experiment.
