I don't think Vance has the charisma to win over voters and his politics are too bland to fire up the base, hence Rubio. Also, Bernie will be 87 in 2028.EDIT: Oops, I misread.

I listened to JD's entire Rogan interview (for about 2 hrs IIRC) and was unimpressed with him. He repeated MAGA/Republican party boilerplate & culture war agitation. He came across as a hardcore social climber with no original ideas of his own. For instance he seems to have joined the military mainly with wanting it as a status symbol to pad his resume, get veterans' benefits (college tuition) and not out of desire to be a soldier. Also I do wonder how a college student from humble origins was able to attach himself to a billionaire sponsor so easily and secure such high level patronage. Thiel sponsored his whole career, helped him get a major book deal (the political/pseudo biographical/fictional ) in college, and then funded millions for his Senate seat years later. Thiel essentially treated this guy like his son.How JD did this is more interesting than anything else, because without a billionaire sponsor he'd probably be a nobody. As VP all he does is act as Trump's lackey.
