February 1, 201015 yr I'm just checking out a few that are supposed to be good, Girls, The xx, Phoenix, Animal Collective. nothing really stands out yet. I thought The XX was pretty average too, but I went back to it and it does improve with a few more plays. Still can't quite get away with the male singer's voice but the album is definitely a grower. No love for Mumford & Sons? I'm surprised! Haven't really heard them yet, but they used to be Laura Marling's backing band so I guess I like them by association.

February 5, 201015 yr Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse's album also feature The Flaming Lips and James Mercer as well, among others Also, I don't know if you've heard or not, Danger Mouse has a project with James Mercer called Broken Bells - It's alright... nothing special from the one song that I've heard. However, Mercer has admitted that he has been busy writing for the new Shins album as well
