Halle Berry's portrayal of Storm was awful. Angela Bassett must have wept when she got the news.

Just about everyone in that Xmen movie was sicking. I wept. I grew up with the comics and the cartoon.

I really hope they make a sequel soon to Star Trek. I loved it so much! ^__^

I'm hate to agree, but it's sad that you have to add eye candy to attract viewers instead of talent.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the movie.

I watched the movie, not for the eye candy, I watched it because I grew up with original, and have seen every star movie, yes I loved Spock and Scotty, they were my faves, so please don't pass judgment based on one comment

And I know that you like the moive for they action and acting and to see how they would "reimagine" it. Hell, i think you were more excited about seeing it than I was. lollllll. So I know it wasn't for the "eye candy" aspect. That is not your style at all. Look at all the talks we have had about the series. Both the original and the Next Generation and those spin-offs.

Yep ive seen every movie, watched every episode of any star trek show they made, I'm a avid fan, and the new one blew me away I loved it, I think my face part. Was seeing Leonard nemoy and the new Spock, wicked cool

OMG, that was awesome. the man he is, and the man he could become. Especially for the younger Spock to see the peace of mind and soul that he would one day have.

ANd I lvoed when Nimoy's Spock met the young Kirk. Like ahving to lead him by the hand to get everything on track.

As a a major Trek fan, and I had my own reservations about making a movie about the origional characters,

I love what they did with the movie and all the actors did a great job. I was really impressed.

(Scotty - original is my fav)

Only issue is that I know of and heard people say that they went and saw the movie because of the looks of the actors, and to be honest, the movie company's use "eye candy" to attract viewers.

As for Halle Berry, I did not say she did good in X-Men, I only said that she was the only one in X-Men with any talent, with the exception

of Patrick Stewart.

Yes Scotty was one of my faves as well, when James Doohin died i was sad, he touched alot of people, I think they did a good job with the lastest film, and the actors they used showed great potential, the one they got for Kirk was dead on, as well as the one for spock, we'll all have to just be along for the ride and see where the new ones take us, we need to give them a chance, and we now have a WHOLE NEW GENERATION, who is watching, and may look back at the old ones to getting a better understanding of the new.

Your right, they didn't miss a beat with this one. What also impressed me is that they are doing good to keep the integrity of the Star Trek franchise on the right track. Now that Majel Barrett has left us, I just hope that they keep with Gene Roddenberry's vision.

My only concern is that movie studio's don't have a great track record with sequels.

Hard to tell, in a way I hope they do, but for the sake of all the new viewers, probably not a good idea yet.

All the newbies need to use to the cast as is, then on the 3rd movie bring the old into the new.

True, i'm really digging the Uhura, i think the newbie did a great job, made her strong, intelligent, and a huge asset like in the show/movies

I agree. I also like how they are starting the banter between McCoy and Spock. The only Issue I have with the new Scotty, they seem to have him a wee bit dorkish, but other than that not too bad.

I think they got Sulu down pat, didn't see any difference between the original and the new

i think all the newbies are doing a very good job in keeping the spirit of the originals alive, without making it a mockery.

Agreed about Scotty, he was a HUGE force from the Original Cast, BUT we'll have to see were they take him, also wonder if Nurse Chapel or yeomen Rand

They did mention Nurse Chapel in the movie breifly. Yeoman Rand I really do hope for. She got cut out in the original way to soon.
