June 17, 20241 yr This movie has a monstrous cast Bonus: soft Boyd 🥰 I was shocked how much I liked it because I never heard about it before 😮😆 have you watched it? @Lilja K

June 21, 20241 yr the spoiler free review like promised @Lilja K -if you didn't like Sons of Anarchy you have zero business to watch this movie lol -this movie is practically the perfect origin story for Samcro and everything Jax father told about "the good ol' days" of biker clubs in his journals - also Tom Hardy playing John "Johnny" Davis >>>>> Jax father John Teller -now I want the prequal of SoA Sutter always spoke of but never made -how the fuck FOCUS thinks this movie will be a summer hit is beyond me -there were like 10 people with us in the cinema -the movie is slow, nostalgic and filled with long kinda weird dialouges (like you expected this "specific" sort of men would talk with each other LOL) -it also includes lots of smoking and staring and close ups -great storytelling -great authentic atmosphere/look/settings -Austin Butler is very pretty -he's even prettier close up -practically me every time he showed up (also their "first meeting" and everything around cracked me up 😅) -he's like Jax Teller but better (morally) -I wish we learned more of his character Benny "Benjamin" Cross (literally his reaction to his full 'fancy' name) -Tom Hardy WHAT IS THIS VOICE??????????????????????????????? - he has very nice lips though -overall he's doing his weird thing nothing really new here I wonder if he's capable to not overdrawn a character -Boyd Holbrook WHAT ARE THOSE TEETHS????????????????????????? (altogether his role was pleasantly bigger than I expected - he was also born for this role it's like pouring from every single pore and oh boy this man is tall those legs give me a break) -Jodie Comer next to Boyd the stand out for me also LOVED LOVED LOVED this story filled with filthy (literally) men was told from her perspective -the one scene were they fighting I almost droppped my panties it was the "hottest" scene for me (everything else between them was very reserved actually they had a intimate coordinator in the credits and I was shouting to my friend FOR WHAT???? 😄) -also yeah the triangle was there and I felt the pressure of all three of them -Mike Faist is really charismatic (more than I thought) -Toby Wallace (don't think I saw him before) but man he was intense - can't believe he's already 29 he looks much younger -some very violent scenes sometimes I really had to gasp -loved the nostalgic 60s vibes -loved the vintage motorbikes (it was really cool when they were all roaring I felt it in my seat) -don't know if it was intended but I also had to laugh a lot -"It would be funny if it wasn't so tragic" more like "It would be tragic if it wasn't so funny" -it cracked me up they all had tattooed their names somewhere like in case for some amnesia? 🤣 -great soundtrack -now I want to re watch Sons of Anarchy 8/10 🍿

June 22, 20241 yr One of my all time favorites. Keira & Matthew Macfadyen are INTENSE How someone can claim Darcy isn't falling for her from the very first moment is beyond me. The man is a hot mess from the moment he laid eyes on Lizzy 😄 But this time I watched it mainly for the late Donald and his lovely portrait of Mr Bennett REST IN PEACE DONALD SUTHERLAND (1935–2024)
June 23, 20241 yr The mix of love, coming of age and anti-Semitism story seems a bit weird sometimes but it's still kinda sweet 💗 Claire Danes was/is a force of nature what an actress for such a young age! Couldn't decide if Jude Laws character is a dick or not lol Jude Law is utterly gorgeous no wonder she's falling hard for him

June 24, 20241 yr The terrible shaky camera work gave me a major headache but I thought the problematic topic of being jewish and a victim and a perpetrator was very interesting. I'm also kinda into Jannis Niewöhner even though his character was really.... unlikable lol

The first half was particularly very good and resembled a dream/nightmare. The second half wasn't as memorable to me.
