May 4, 201411 yr The Lives of Others: I wouldn't say it's a perfect movie, but it was still a really engrossing story about life under the Stasi. It's hard not to feel a great deal for the two main characters, even if some parts are kinda overdone. I'd recommend it, especially if you enjoy feeling really stressed out and depressed!
May 5, 201411 yr Locke. Cracking little movie. Essentially just Tom Hardy in a car for an hour and a half, but amazingly captivating and intense. He only slipped into his Bane voice three times, I counted.
May 21, 201410 yr Delivery Man- Thought looked pretty lame, got forced into watching it......but it was actually super adorable. I cryed at least two times 7.5/10
May 24, 201410 yr Neighbors-I thought it was pretty funny, other people didn't laugh. Guess its one you gotta be in the mood for Alot of eye candy for the ladies 7/10
May 26, 201410 yr "Tremors" & "Tremors II" Seem to be headed downhill but I still plan to watch III & IV next weekend.
May 29, 201410 yr The Two Faces of January. An enjoyable and very classy (if a little slight) suspense thriller. Old-fashioned film noir with something of a Hitchcock vibe going on, even down to the music.
June 2, 201410 yr Cabin In The Woods- Was excited to see this concept, and in IMO it almost worked. almost. 6/10.
June 4, 201410 yr Maleficent-AMAZING. Was totally and 100% impressed. Sometimes these reboots are kinda mehh, but it was perfection. 9/10!
June 5, 201410 yr American Beauty: Recommended to me by Katch, finally watched it last night. Quite enjoyed the film, it's very beautiful. However with the ending I'm left with way too many questions unanswered. Why was he shot? Why did he want to reconnect with his youth? I get annoyed in films where I have so many questions unanswered. Lester however is a total sass mouth. Goal in life = embody Lester Burnham in me 9/10 Pride and Prejudice (2005): Watched it so I could understand the book better for English class. I felt kind of confused at some points as who the characters were, what was going on and such, but overall enjoyable. Mr Darcy is hella fine too. If there's ever another P & P coming out, Henry Cavill should play Mr Darcy :brows: 7/10

I get annoyed in films where I have so many questions unanswered. Lester however is a total sass mouth. Goal in life = embody Lester Burnham in me 9/10 Was about time And I thought it was clear spoiler alert to those who haven't seen The reason he was shot was because the guy who kissed him, ricky's dad, just outed himself as being gay, and when he didn't feel the same way, he knew he had to take care of it. You saw how he was so protective and making sure his son wasn't gay...its because he was gay himself, and ashamed of it. He had to kill the one link that knew of him being gay. And I guess the reason he chose his youth to reconnect with is it was the easiest thing to do. In the end it seemed he kinda made peace where he was at in life, and realized that it wasn't all bad. That while he hated his job, his wife, and everything around him.....maybe he didn't. And that he had alot to be thankful for and there was alot of "beauty" in his world to appreciate Though many will interpret things from the movie differently, thats what I always got out of it
June 8, 201410 yr ^I'm inserting myself in this conversation to say that I think you did a great job of articulating the themes of that movie The Skeleton Twins - I was surprised by how much I liked this movie. Bill Hader will amaze and delight you. The only thing I didn't like was how bad I felt for Luke Wilson's character. He was my favourite, but it felt like even the screenwriter had some disdain for his character. Wearing those weird fivefinger toe-shoes and eating pizza pockets are not crimes, y'all!
June 8, 201410 yr Wow American Beauty is an amazing film, such strong roles, such a great story, I feel like that is a movie that is made once in a lifetime, it's so deep, and the fact that it left you with unanswered questions speaks of the brilliance and depth of the movie imo. Most films that are made today don't make you think/question, but this one surely stays with you long after you've finished watching it.
June 8, 201410 yr Snow White and the Huntsman I don't like Kristen Stewart, so I was hugely disappointed to see her play such a role, especially when Snow White is such an iconic character, I definitely imagined someone way more beautiful than Kristen playing that role :X Charlize was amazing, loved her evil side Not a bad movie overall. Maybe I expected more.
June 8, 201410 yr ^Yeah Kristen Stewart...no. ^I'm inserting myself in this conversation to say that I think you did a great job of articulating the themes of that movie Thanks
June 8, 201410 yr The Fault In Our Stars - If you read the book, you know the terrible pain that was gonna come your way. I cryed at the book, and I cryed at the movie. Hard. And so did everybody else in the audiance. Sooooo cute, sooo depressing, sooo terrible. Ugh. 9/10.
