oh, hated that tweet and I don't agree Why is Ryan Gosling like the new "it" guy again? Is it cause he aged better than Leonardo Dicaprio? That's the only reason I can think of

What this is about? First this Gosling if I'am not mistaken have what like 30 years... and Leo is almost on his 40's, don't know the parallel she's trying to make? I really didn't understand, why all this? Because Gosling have muscles??? what the big deal about this guy? More, when beauty surpass talent?

But in my opinion, this guy is not even close to Leo's beauty, I don't think he's handsome really, I don't think he's all of this people say. I have to be honest and say that I didn't see any movie with him until today so I can't judge his talent, even like this I have sure Leo's have more talent than him. It's not to be bad but I just hate when people start to say Leo's not aging well. Did they saw his recent pics? Is that not age well? so I don't know what is age well... LOL!

And this discussion is just ridiculous because without talent just beauty don't help in anyway.

Personally, I like Ryan. He's hot and a great actor. But I've never ever been drawn to any other actor like I have with Leo. (And Leo's face is RIDUNK GORGEOUS IMO. So yeah, Leo > Ryan times a million.)

But yeah yeah. Ryan is like late 20s, early 30s (looks wise) when Leo is in his late 30s. Of course Ryan is going to look younger. And Ryan is one of those dudes that wants the six pack etc and Leo has never really seemed to personally care about that. Different folks, different strokes. Also people get so stuck on this "Leo has a puff face and a big ass head and only does movies where he's a cry baby in and that's all he can do" crap. WHICH IS NOT TRUE AT ALL IF THEY WOULD JUST PAY ATTENTION AND GET OVER THE FACT THAT THE MAN CAN'T LOOK LIKE A 17 YEAR OLD LIKE HE DID IN TITANIC FOREVER. Oh my god. People are just stupid. I hate them all.

Also, I've always, alwaaaaaaaaaaaays prefered the older!Leo than the younger!Leo. Give me Blood Diamond The Departed Inception Leo anyyyyyyday over Titanic Leo. :) Love both young and "old" Leo but I prefer older Leo. Lalala.

I don't like James Franco - he seems a bit arrogant and comes off like he thinks he's such an "ARTIST". But he's a good actor.

Amen!

In one way, I like Eddie better than James and Anne, (I like Anne's movie's but not that much her personality) but I still think Hollywood could do a lot better given all the other choices they might have.

I would like Ellen to host it :p Her 2007 speech was just hilarious, you guys probably all have seen it but still;

'AAAH LEO LOOK AT YOOOOOU!

I think we can predict as much as we possibly can, but in the end we'll still have to see how his acting is in Hoover, so

CLINT C'MOON :p

I agree! I actually like Ryan Gosling, I think hes very attractive and a good actor also, but I agree with he doesn't have leos magic!

Pop Sugar interview with Callan McAuliffe who plays the young Gatsby . If you recall long ago we posted his Twitter comments

the day he first met Leo and Tobey

If often feels like young, talented stars are taking over Hollywood, which is why we’re declaring this week Young Hollywood Week on PopSugar. One of the brightest upcoming stars is 16-year-old Callan McAuliffe, who recently scored the role of young Jay Gatsby in The Great Gatsby. His CV is also filled with appearances on Aussie shows like Packed to the Rafters and Cloudstreet, while his big US breakout roles were in Flipped and I Am Number Four. We caught up with Callan while he was en route to the airport to return to LA last week (he’ll be back in October), where he talked about meeting with Leonardo DiCaprio and how he got into the biz.

What have you been doing in the month you spent back home?

barilace: Totally agree with you in everything you said about Leo!

oh thanks a lot ox: Like you wijn, I always love to hear how Leo is so down to earth and nice. And that was a good explanation that the guy have to put blue contacts and dye his hair blonde because when I looked at him I can't remember Leo in anyway.

Blake wants bling!

Blake Lively is ready for beau Leonardo DiCaprio to make an honest woman out of her – and she has given him six months to do it.

The blonde bombshell, who’s been dating Leo since May, has issued the 36-year-old with an ultimatum – put a ring on it, or else!

“Blake has played hardball with Leo from the start. Her strategy worked – he dumped Bar [Refaeli] for her – and that’s given her the confidence to use the same tactics all over again,” a source tells NW.

Fresh from her Aussie getaway with Leo, Blake, 24, is adamant it will be game over if he doesn’t start making her his number-one priority.

“Blake knows Leo’s track record with women and she does not want to be included on that list,” explains the insider, adding that Blake has demanded he prove his commitment.

Hollywood Reporter article about upcoming LAMCA event

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art announces its first Art + Film Gala as it prepares to relaunch its film screening program

L.A.'s movie and art worlds are getting a tighter embrace at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The museum has announced that its inaugural Art + Film Gala will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011, honoring actor/director Clint Eastwood and seminal L.A. conceptual artist John Baldess

Co-chairing the LACMA benefit are Leonardo DiCaprio, star of Eastwood's forthcoming, J. Edgar, and fashion designer Eva Chow.

"As we are in Hollywood, we would like to make LACMA a major film museum as well, in terms of exhibitions, acquisitions, screenings, restoration and more. We have a lot of things planned and this gala will kind of kick-start that," Chow (who works with her husband Michael Chow in running the Mr. Chow restaurant empire) tells THR. "It's all one thing actually if you think about it. It's art. It's storytelling. It's creativity."

The gala, sponsored by Gucci, will raise funds to support LACMA’s "initiative to make film more central to the museum's curatorial programming, while also funding LACMA's broader mission," the museum said in a release.

This includes LACMA's reinvigorated film screening program, which was almost slashed in 2009 due to dwindling attendance and budget concerns. The museum reversed itself amid a public outcry, including an open letter from Martin Scorsese who called for the 40-year-old program to be saved.

Earlier this year, LACMA, led by CEO Michael Govan, announced that it would reboot the series in the fall of 2011. It formed a partnership with Film Independent, the group behind the Independent Spirit Awards and the L.A. Film Festival, and has hired film critic Elvis Mitchell as curator.

In July, LACMA board member Terry Semel, former chairman/CEO of Warner Bros. and Yahoo, reiterated the museum's support for film. "We have the Tim Burton exhibit [through Oct. 31], and next fall will be a Stanley Kubrick exhibit. If not on the West Coast, where else?" he told THR.

Chow calls DiCaprio a friend of the museum. "He's very interested in art and he's been coming to the museum. He's an avid art lover," she says.

In a statement, DiCaprio said, "I am proud to take part in this celebration of the contributions of Clint Eastwood. His illustrious motion picture career is unparalleled. And I'm so pleased that LACMA recognizes film as the art form it is and is dedicated to creating a world-class film department. "

From Forbes : Highes Paid Men in Entertainment Industry

In Hollywood, actors like Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp get most of the attention but they aren’t necessarily the ones who are making the most money. Just check out our list of Entertainment’s Highest-Paid Men. Only two of the ten men on our list are actors and one of those actors earns most of his money as a writer/director/producer.

That would be the multi-talented Tyler Perry. If his face is not instantly recognizable that’s because in his movies he often appears dressed in drag as Madea, the wide-hipped, argumentative, no-nonsense character who has starred in six of Perry’s movies. Madea has also shown up in one of Perry’s TV shows, House of Payne.

Thanks to five movies he has cranked out over the past two years and two TV series, Perry earned $130 million between May 2010 and May 2011, which ranks him as the highest-earning man in entertainment for that time period.

Perry will next make a rare appearance in a film he didn’t direct, write and produce. He’ll take up the mantle of author James Patterson’s detective Alex Cross in the movie I, Alex Cross. Morgan Freeman played the detective in two earlier films: Along Came a Spider and Kiss the Girls.

The only other actor on our list is Leonardo DiCaprio who ranks 8th. DiCaprio earned $77 million during our time frame thanks to two of his biggest non-Titanic hits ever: Shutter Island and Inception. The two films earned a combined $1.1 billion at the global box office in 2010. Up next, the star will take on the role of former FBI head J. Edgar Hoover in a biopic directed by Clint Eastwood. The film is already generating Oscar buzz for DiCaprio.

Directors, producers and TV personalities dominate the rest of our list. Producer Jerry Bruckheimer ranks second with $113 million. In 2010 Bruckheimer had two relative flops: The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and Prince of Persia. But he came back strong this summer with the fourth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. The film, On Stranger Tides, earned $1 billion at the global box office. Bruckheimer also oversees a slew of successful TV shows including The Amazing Race and the CSI franchise.

Steven Spielberg ranks third with $107 million. After a three-year hiatus, Spielberg is back in the director’s chair with two movies that will compete against each other at the box office this winter: War Horse and The Adventures of Tintin. The films couldn’t be more different. War Horse is an intimate story set during World War I about a boy searching for his horse, which has been sent into battle with the cavalry. Tintin is a big-budget motion-capture animated film that marks the director’s first foray into 3-D.

Elton John, the only musician on our list, ranks 4th with $100 million. the 64-year-old rocker is still going strong at an age when most people are thinking about retirement. He just had a child, via surrogate, with his partner David Furnish and his world tour brought in $204 million.

Simon Cowell rounds out our top five with $90 million. Cowell left the show that made him famous in America, American Idol, in order to launch his own talent show. The X Factor is set to debut September 21 and will feature another former American Idol judge — the ever-wacky Paula Abdul.
