More on the Forbes Most Powerful Lists - Leo was #46 on overall all celebrities but he is #3 Most Powerful ACTOR (#1 Cruise (Mainly because of Mission Impossible) and #2 Brad Pitt):
Never underestimate Tom Cruise. That€™s the lesson of this year€™s list of the most powerful actors in Hollywood. Not too long ago it looked like Cruise€™s heyday had passed. After the €œfailure€ of Mission: Impossible 3 (the film earned $40 million) and Cruise€™s couch-jumping antics, many wrote the movie star off.

But over the past 12 months Cruise has shown that he€™s still a force to be reckoned with, mainly thanks to Mission: Impossible €“ Ghost Protocol. The film, which hit theaters last December, earned $700 million at the box office worldwide. Cruise took a nice slice of that profit. We estimate that overall Cruise earned $75 million between May 2011 and May 2012. He ranks ninth on the Celebrity 100.

Cruise is now a seriously in-demand star. He€™ll next strut his stuff as a rock star in Rock of Ages. Then he€™ll star in the military crime thriller One Shot, followed by the sci-fi film Oblivion.

Ranking 29th on the Celeb 1oo is Brad Pitt, which makes him Hollywood€™s second most powerful actor. Pitt had a great 12 months: He earned an Oscar nod for his work in Moneyball and he proposed to his longtime partner Angelina Jolie. That helped earn Pitt plenty of fame (our list measures a mixture of fame and earnings). He also earns big bucks. We estimate the star brought in $25 million between May 2011 and May 2012.

Rounding out the top three: Leonardo DiCaprio. The actor ranks 46th on the Celebrity 100. We estimate that between May 2011 and May 2012, DiCaprio earned $37 million. That€™s way down from the $77 million he earned in the year-ago period, mostly because the actor didn€™t have any big hits this time around. J. Edgar, which was directed by Clint Eastwood, earned only $80 million at the global box office. Next up for DiCaprio: a 3-D version of The Great Gatsby directed by Baz Luhrmann

Oh,so he's the third most powerful actor? :) That's great!!

In my opinion he'll be always the number one! :p

And Princess...agreed! (Y)

#3 based on last year is pretty damn good considering he only had J Edgar which didn't do as well as it could have. I was surprised Robert Downey Jr nor Johnny Depp weren't in the top 3 (that will change next year for Downey for sure what with The Avengers).

From interview with Kerry Washington about working on Django

From Washington to Tarantino Territory

Washington not only has a hit show on ABC, but she is currently playing the female lead in surefire blockbuster Django Unchained, the long-awaited film from Quentin Tarantino and starring Leonardo DiCaprio. She added that because of the movie, she was the last to know that Scandal was renewed for Season 2.

“Tarantino doesn’t allow phones on set,” says Washington. “I was working, so literally it was all over the media. The whole cast and crew knew, and the producers of the movie were [hinting] like you should go back to your trailer and check your phone.”

But it seems she’ll recover. “Today I go to work with Sam Jackson, Christoph Waltz, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Jamie Foxx! All of us being guided by Quentin Tarantino. It’s a really profound experience,” she says. Yeah, she’ll be alright.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan in The Great Gatsby: Do They Have Chemistry?

Get ready for it: Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan romance time!

No, nothing like a real-life hookup (Mulligan is a married woman!), but…

The two apparently make quite the impressive lovebirds in Baz Luhrmann's upcoming 3-D retelling of The Great Gatsby.

Sources tell me that DiCaprio, 37, and Mulligan, 26 deliver with their chemistry.

"Oh, you can see it and feel it," one source reports.

Another says that it's pure romance. In other words, you'll find no Fifty Shades of Gatsby here.

"I don't think you see more than passionate kisses," the source said. "It's classy and beautifully shot."

Warner Bros. Pictures presented a sneak peek at the movie—including some intimate moments between DiCaprio and Mulligan—during CinemaCon last month in Las Vegas.

Sharon Waxman of The Wrap wrote afterward, "t's safe to predict that teenage girls will be lining up to see it."

The $125 million film is a reunion for DiCaprio and Luhrmann, who first worked together on 1996's Romeo + Juliet.

Rounding out the Gatsby cast are Tobey Maguire and Joel Edgerton.

Seems that some of the movie blogs feel the rumor that some footage of Django being shown at Cannes is legit

Ok, let's get to the good stuff. Our men in Cannes are hearing the juicy rumor of the day: The Weinstein Company are showing off a 10-minute scene from Quentin Tarantino's "Django Unchained" to prospective international buyers. It sounds feasible. 'Django' has been shooting early in the year and what appears to be the last leg of shooting is happening now-ish in New Orleans.
