Clearly this is the forum that never sleeps! Thanks y'all for the updates!

Jim Jones, I cannot wait! No confirmation, but I gotta gut feeling. Like the author of the article @Jade Bahr posted, I love Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and while we don't know what or how the projects are intended to be executed, visions of Leonardo as lead is in short, immutable. One can only speculate that the paralleled passion behind the Jim Jones project betwixt the two Los Angeles natives is just that, provincialism and perhaps proximity. Magazine interviews has long illuminated cinematic supporters of the actors' upbringings, noting Hippieism and free-spirited choices as household staples for the two. Jones's focus were social pariahs and anti-mainstream fixtures. Could the parents of both Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Leo DiCaprio been victimised by Jones's ill-fated and well-configured charisma? We must say, envisioning the families of the actors, including Leo himself--just four at the time of the tragedy, also Gordon-Levitt's older brother, Daniel, also four in 1978, who passed away in 2010 of a drug overdose --a part of the sentenced 900 plus victims is chilling. Whether discussed at the dinner table, or just a simple fascination of the event, we can see the connecting interest. But we hope Joe isn't competing for the sake of losing out on the cop role in Wolf of Wall Street, yikes!

Here's what we get when YouTube Leo DiCaprio and Jim Jones:

Just posting because damn the 2000s were a pretty great decade for Leo. I mean GONY (where everything started with him and Marty), CMIYC, Aviator, BD, TD, RR plus two of his most underrated movies TB and BOL.

The Best Leonardo DiCaprio Movies Of The 2000s, Ranked According To IMDb

After gaining worldwide recognition for Titanic, the 2000s are when Leonardo DiCaprio cemented himself as one of the greatest actors in Hollywood.

Leonardo-DiCaprio-best-movies-of-the-200

Leonardo DiCaprio is no doubt one of the greatest actors of this generation. While he received worldwide recognition for his role in Titanic, the 2000s saw the acclaimed actor break away from being just known as a teen heartthrob and cement himself as one of the best actors in Hollywood.

While it wasn’t until 2016 that he won his first Oscar, the 2000s highlighted DiCaprio’s versatility and incredible range through his bold and diverse roles. It’s no surprise that most of his movies released in the 2000s received high IMDb ratings, and many of these performances will no doubt go down as some of his best.

9/9 Don's Plum (2001) - 5.7

Dons-Plum-Movie.jpg?q=50&fit=crop&w=740&

If there’s such a thing, Leonardo DiCaprio's character Derek in Don’s Plum is one of his lesser-known roles. Also starring Tobey Maguire and Kevin Connolly, the low-budget indie film tells the story of a group of 20-somethings who gather at a restaurant called "Don’s Plum" every Saturday night - and that’s about as far as the plot goes.

The highly improvised movie was filmed over six days between July 1995 and March 1996, however, wasn’t released theatrically until 2001. Rumors have swirled about the movie over the years, with DiCaprio and Maguire reportedly not wanting it released at all, as reported by The Guardian. Due to its legal implications, the film was banned in the US and Canada (Republic World).

8/9 The Beach (2000) - 6.7

Leonardo-DiCaprio-in-The-Beach.jpg?q=50&

After the unimaginable success of Titanic, there were high expectations for Leonardo DiCaprio’s next film. Unfortunately, The Beach didn’t come close to matching the success of Titanic. In the Danny Boyle drama, DiCaprio stars as a young adventure-seeking traveler named Richard who is in search of a legendary island paradise.

The dystopian drama was considered a flop when it came out and severely underwhelmed at the box office. While Leonardo DiCaprio is no doubt one of the greatest actors the world has ever seen, this movie is often forgotten among his success.

7/9 Body Of Lies (2008) - 7.1

Body-of-Lies-movie-reviews.jpg?q=50&fit=

The acclaimed Ridley Scott has directed countless classics, so when it came to an action thriller starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Russel Crowe with Scott at the helm, it was ensuing to exceed expectations given the talent behind it. Unfortunately, Body of Lies failed to stand out, despite its huge potential.

DiCaprio plays Roger Ferris, a CIA agent who is operating in the Middle East trying to capture a radical Islamic terrorist. While it's often overlooked, that’s not to say it isn’t good and is simply one of the great Leonardo DiCaprio movies that many have never heard of. There is plenty of action with a consistently well-paced narrative, with both DiCaprio and Crowe giving convincing performances.

6/9 Revolutionary Road (2008) - 7.3

Eleven years after the release of Titanic, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet reunited onscreen for the first time in the romantic drama, Revolutionary Road. The Titanic pair made for one of the most iconic movie couples of all time, so it’s no surprise that fans were quick to compare Winslet and DiCaprio's onscreen romance in Revolutionary Road.

The story follows Frank and April Wheeler, a struggling husband and wife who try and cope with the breakdown of their marriage. The movie received generally positive reviews and while it’s not one of DiCaprio's most notable films, his convincing portrayal of the smooth-talking salesman is up there with his best.

5/9 Gangs Of New York (2002) - 7.5

Leonardo-DiCaprio-Daniel-Day-Lewis-and-G

Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio are one of Hollywood’s greatest duos and Gangs of New York is the film that marked their first collaboration together. Set in 1863, DiCaprio plays the Irish catholic Amsterdam Vallon, who plots revenge against the man that murdered his father.

Based on Herbert Asbury’s novel of the same name, the film also features Daniel Day-Lewis as a brutal gang leader and Cameron Dias as an Irish immigrant. While the movie received generally positive reviews, many believe that DiCaprio was outshined by the captivating performance of Daniel Day-Lewis, for which he received an Oscar nomination.

4/9 The Aviator (2004) - 7.5

Howard-Hughes-standing-in-front-of-his-p

The next collaboration between Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio was The Aviator, and this time, the stakes were raised. DiCaprio took on the titular role of Howard Hughes, a billionaire filmmaker and aviator whom many believe is one of the best main characters in a Scorsese movie,

Starring alongside Cate Blanchett and Kate Beckinsale, DiCaprio plays Hughes in the height of his fame, while depicting his deteriorating mental health and severe OCD. DiCaprio’s accurate portrayal of the eccentric tycoon was flawless and earned him his first Oscar nomination since What’s Eating Gilbert Grape.

3/9 Blood Diamond (2006) - 8.0

Leonardo-DiCaprio-10-Most-Tragic-Charact

Starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Djimon Hounsou, Blood Diamond follows the story of Rhodesian smuggler and mercenary Danny Archer, who forms an unlikely team with local fisherman Solomon Vandy. Set during the Sierra Leone Civil War, the two embark on a dangerous mission as they hunt to recover a rare diamond.

The war thriller received positive reviews and highlighted the brilliant performances of both DiCaprio and Hounsou. To accurately play a Rhodesian-now-Zimbabwean native, DiCaprio had to act with a South African accent, and despite the accent remaining divisive among fans, the role garnered the actor with his third Oscar nomination.

2/9 Catch Me If You Can (2002) - 8.1

catch-me-if-you-can-on-netflix.jpg?q=50&

Directed by the legendary Steven Spielberg, Catch Me If You Can depicts the story of Frank Abagnale Jr., one of the most successful con men in American history. The brilliant cat and mouse caper stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Frank and Tom Hanks as FBI agent Carl Hanratty, who makes it his mission to capture the young con artist, while also harboring a level of respect for him.

The movie perfectly captures DiCaprio's boyish charm and has produced one of his most likable characters to date. Spielberg's genius and seamless direction tells the real-life story in a light-hearted and comical manner, while DiCaprio's performance showcased his incredible range as an actor.

1/9 The Departed (2006) - 8.5

The-Departed-1.jpg?q=50&fit=crop&w=740&h

Martin Scorsese remains one of the most talented directors of all time, yet somehow, he had to wait until 2006 to receive his first Oscar. Featuring a star-studded ensemble of Leonardo DiCaprio, Jack Nicholson, Mark Wahlberg, and Matt Damon, The Departed follows Billy Costigan, a Boston Police trainee who is sent undercover to infiltrate mobster Frank Costello’s crew.

The story of good-cop-bad-cop is violent, funny, and most importantly, a warning that no one can be trusted in this dark world of crime. The Scorsese masterpiece is up there with the greatest gangster movies of all time and is living proof of why he will always be king of the gangster genre.

I'M A SUCKER FOR ANIMATION. ILLUSTRATION IS ONE OF THE MULTITUDINOUS LIMITATIONS WHICH EMCAPASSES ME ABOUT. IN SHORT MY DRAWINGS AREN'T WORTH A DIME OR A DAMN. AS CONDEMNATORY AS THE HUMAN EYE CAN BE, EVEN THE WORST OF SOMETHING SUFFERS SOME FRAME OF CONSCIENTIOUSNESS. IF EVER THE GOLDEN BOY GANDERED UPON THE SKETCHES OF HE, I'D WONDER WHAT HIS VERDICT WOULD BE. THE THING THAT CONVOLUTION IS--FAN ART.

I'm not sure if anyone has posted this, it's quite old 🧓, but I think it's chuckle-worthy. The boldness of the fan, no, the look alike. I wonder as DiCaprio shops how many paces does Reza stay behind? Gee, I guess that would be wise, he'd never make it home safely, Leo that is.

Oscar Futures: Our Last-minute Guess at the Nominees

Best Picture

Being the Ricardos
Belfast
CODA
Don’t Look Up
Dune
King Richard
Licorice Pizza
The Power of the Dog
The Tragedy of Macbeth
West Side Story

Best Director

Paul Thomas Anderson, Licorice Pizza
Jane Campion, The Power of the Dog
Ryûsuke Hamaguchi, Drive My Car
Adam McKay, Don’t Look Up
Denis Villeneuve, Dune

Best Actor

Benedict Cumberbatch, The Power of the Dog
Leonardo DiCaprio, Don’t Look Up
Andrew Garfield, Tick, Tick … Boom!
Will Smith, King Richard
Denzel Washington, The Tragedy of Macbeth

The core four of this race have felt locked since November. Smith and Cumberbatch leaped to the top of the rankings with star turns at Telluride. Washington’s ability to get nominated for films like Roman J. Israel, Esq. made him a popular preseason pick; his ability to make the Bard’s English feel as natural as modern speech sealed it. Garfield came into the season with a lower profile, but he sang and danced his way into a spot once TTB hit streaming.

Who joins them? Javier Bardem of Being the Ricardos has SAG on his side, and I’m wary of going against an actor playing a famous showbiz figure from the 20th century. However, DiCaprio’s BAFTA nod has me leaning Leo. The Brits use a multistep jury process that’s meant to spotlight underappreciated performers; the fact that the Hollywood princeling got in anyway suggests he was near the top of the vote tallies. Besides, DiCaprio’s on a decade-long hot streak with the Oscars, and you figure the surging Don’t Look Up is due to show up somewhere in the acting categories.

Yes hopefully Leo will be nominated

Am I the only who think Mark Rylance is gonna be nominated?! I know he hasn’t been nominated for any award until now but he was spectacular and I don’t think he won’t be nominated for it, remember tom hardy in TR and Jonah hill in WOWS? They missed all the awards but they got nominated for an oscar

Some nice comments about Leo from a girl who played one of Ariana's friends who we saw in the green room with Leo & Jen

Quote

She was cast, in her own words, “as one of Ariana Grande’s groupies. I was just there to be uppity and own the space … and to be rude to Leonardo DiCaprio.”

She said working with him was a great experience. And, she said, she was grateful she was wearing a mask before cameras were rolling so he didn’t notice the small gasp she let out when he entered the set.

“He was kind and funny and introduced himself to all of us. And he thanked us all for being there,” she said.

There have been so many films shooting in Oklahoma over the past year. Nothing as big as KOTFM, but still cool to see anyway. In fact l, just this month, Cherokee Nation started a film incentive.

In a historic investment, Cherokee Nation recently became the first tribal nation in the United States to provide a film incentive program. The Cherokee Nation Film Office will soon offer up to $1 million in annual cash rebates for qualifying productions filmed on our tribe's 14-county reservation.

Maybe we can Leo back to Oklahoma sometime. 😄

Omnipresent, eh?

The updates, that's y'all!

(of God) present everywhere at the same time).

Funny I was just watching Lucifer on Netflix when he kills his brother Urial to save his mother and the woman he loves. Lucifer finally getting some balls. The battle of the heavenly and hell.

My favorite series for the moment for anyone that hasn't seen it.
