Below is the excerpt from the article that appeared at time of filming from Indie Wire that stated the commercial would be shown at opening/premierie of Packer's new Studio City casino/entertainment complex in Macau

Yes, it’s for commercial purposes, but who doesn’t want to see this team work together? Martin Scorsese will be directing a short film to promote Melco-Crown Entertainment, a global resort and casino brand. The short will star early Scorsese favorite Robert DeNiro, late Scorsese favorite Leonardo Di Caprio and an unknown newcomer named Brad Pitt. Ratpac Entertainment’s Brett Ratner and RSA’s Jules Daly will produce the film.

The film’s content is not known, but it will probably be pretty glitzy. It will premiere next year at Melco-Crown’s new film-themed resort Studio City in Macau.

“@gaby_cepeda: Me and @mariavidel just saw Leonardo Dicaprio at the Gagosian Gallery #casualmonday

ox: thanks for the info about the commercial.   :flower: And thanks for the tweets too.

I hope soon we see new pics.

From today's NY Post

Hard-partying celebs are getting into the holiday spirit at the clubs.

Rihanna was living it up with newly single Leonardo DiCaprio at the Meatpacking’s Up & Down with Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, Tobey Maguire and Ashley Olsen.

Later, everyone but Hill and Cera migrated to 1Oak to meet up with Bradley Cooper, who’s starring in “The Elephant Man” on Broadway, and singer Tyrese Gibson.

Ne-Yo and Knick J.R. Smith were also spotted at the club.

Small reference to Revenant from a recent Domhnall Gleeson interview

But before heading to a galaxy far, far away, Gleeson will finish up work on Alejandro González Iñárritu's "The Revenant" with Tom Hardy and Leonardo DiCaprio in lead roles. It's another difficult survival story about men pushed to their limits. "We're pacing around the snowy mountains of Calgary, carrying packs and dead bodies," Gleeson said. "It's a pretty full-on movie, but it's great."

ox: thanks for the news.

Leo dancing with Rihanna... interesting, hehe.   :hehe:

Wonder if he's in LA yet. I believe I read before that it's a tradition for him to spend Christmas Eve with his dad and Christmas Day with his mom.

Leo is in second place at Just Jared most popular actors of 2014, only behind Brad Pitt. Last year he was in third place.

He's always my number 1!

Heading to LA perhaps?

Leo DiCaprio just cut me on the TSA line. I knew he was a douchebag.

Ohh I see, not sure where I thought Cannes was from, maybe from Scorsese's other short film..thanks!

Interesting that Leo ranked number 2 over Clooney who drew a lot of attention for his engagement and wedding. Then Gosling had a baby etc etc etc. Leo is so low key, so it's interesting that he's so popular over on just jared. But hey... even here on Bellazon Leo's thread has the most posts. :p It's still hard to believe Leo has over 11 million Twitter followers too. He's popular without even trying. :p

Yeah, so true. :hehe: Leo draws attention more than those guys and his personal life haven't changed in the last 10 years, I mean,  he's never been engaged, never been married and don't have kids... I'am saying this because JJ is a gossip site after all and people are more interested in the personal life of the famous than in the professional, so it's great to see he's so popular.

Just saw this casting notice for Revenant ; if the start date is accurate, then it looks like Leo's break from filming might be even longer I%20dont%20know.gif

Another casting call for The Revenant is set for January, and this time they are looking for aboriginal extras between the ages of 16 to 60 in Calgary, Alberta.

The Revenant, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, “centers on the 1820s’ story of a frontiersman, Hugh Glass, who set out on a path of vengeance against those who left him for dead after a bear mauling.” Tom Hardy and Will Poulter also star.

The movie’s next casting call will be held at the Lethbridge Lodge, 320 Scenic Drive South, Lethbridge, AB, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Jan. 10, 2015.

The movie is expected to shoot from Jan. 20 to mid-April in the Calgary area.

Barbie

Tks for Just Jared information :)

Kat

Tks for Leo/airport sighting :)

Hum, thanks for the info ox. Hope that don't cause a delay for them to wrap the movie later.

But at least this news might give us more pics of Leo until he starts filming again.

Yeah I'm actually happy he's off until the 20th because like Barbie mentioned... more opportunity for good pics. :)
