A request : Ever since I posted the pix of Leo/Marty below, I've been looking for an almost identical pix of the two men in my saved pix .

It was taken at a pre Oscar Miramax party either for Gangs or Aviator.

The two men didn't have on tux, but they were seated at table , both had great smile on their face as in pix below, and Leo's hair

wasn't too much different.

If anyone has the pix, could you please post it , thanks :)

And while I couldn't find the pix I was looking for , I did find a pix that I was reminded of when I saw Warren Beatty walking

the LACMA red carpet with Leo

From 1998 :p

From Variety : Looks like we won't be seeing a video of Leo introducing Marty last night as we did when LACMA honored Clint Eastwood, as someone else introduced him

Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s third annual Art + Film Gala on Nov. 2 drew a stellar black tie crowd of film industry heavies and society/industry luminaries from both coasts, garnering over $4 million in much-needed funds for LACMA’s coffers. With the major current project an ambitious film museum to be housed at the Wilshire Blvd. arts complex in partnership with the Motion Picture Academy, the message presented by one of the two honorees of the evening, artist David Hockney, resonated.

Next up on the dais was the night’s film honoree, Martin Scorsese, introduced by the event’s co-chair (with Eva Chow), an as-always dapper Leonardo DiCaprio, dressed up by the gala key sponsor, Gucci.

Great new updates! He looks very dapper in the latest pictures.

Looking forward to see more the coming weeks as WOWS' promos must be getting started by now.

Love to see him on a big magazine's cover soon hopefully with an interesting interview to read.

Leonardo DiCaprio Co-Hosts Record $4.1 Million LACMA Art + Film Gala

Before guests sat down, Leonardo DiCaprio -- the co-host of the event for the third year running with LACMA board member Eva Chow -- chatted with Tom Hanks at the bar and told him how glad he was that he could personally attend after missing last year’s bash. DiCaprio’s plus one for the night was Christie’s auctioneer Loic Gouzer, who organized the actor’s charity art auction earlier this year that raised $38 million for wildlife preservation.

DiCaprio paid tribute to Scorsese as a “master of his medium”, with whom, he noted, he’s done five movies, including the upcoming December release The Wolf of Wall Street. “When you walk into a museum like the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, you are faced with works of art that have been preserved over centuries and confronted with stories about history, culture and craft. Speaking with Martin Scorsese, you feel the exact same way because spending time with Marty is like stepping into a world-class film museum.”

And another from the other LACMA event:

Leonardo DiCaprio Stands In for Martin Scorsese at 'Rebel' Restoration Screening

Martin Scorsese couldn't be present for the LACMA world premiere of his Film Foundation's major restoration of Rebel Without a Cause, but he sent a good stand in: Leonardo DiCaprio

On Friday night, after LACMA CEO and Wallis Annenberg director Michael Govan and Gucci president and CEO Patrizio di Marco welcomed the cineast-filled crowd, Di Caprio took to the stage in a fine Gucci suit and short goatee.

The actor apologized for Scorsese, whom he explained "is stuck in New York finishing our film Wolf of Wall Street."

The crowd didn't seem too disappointed with Scorsese's stand in. DiCaprio, who starred in the five of the director's feature films, is is also one of the co-chairs of Saturday night's Art + Film Gala at LACMA.

The actor went on to read Scorsese's notes praising Rebel Without a Cause director Nicholas Ray's filmmaking feat, his technical grasp of shots and composition, and his grateful appreciation of the funding support of Gucci and Warner Bros. (This is Gucci's tenth film restoration of this kind and magnitude.)

Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini was also on hand, as was actress Camilla Belle, wearing Gucci, naturally.

Reports from Hollywood this morning are pretty exciting: last night’s LACMA gala honoring Martin Scorsese was about as star-studded as you can get. Everyone from Jane Fonda and Warren Beatty to Leonardo DiCaprio was there in splendid black tie. No less than Sting serenaded the crowd with six songs: “Every Breath You Take,” “Message in a Bottle,” “Desert Rose,” “Fields of Gold” and “Englishman in New York” with Chris Botti on trumpet. Dhani Harrison, son of the late Beatle George Harrison, also performed. His mom, the great Olivia Harrison, was all smiles.

There was a lot of talk about Scorsese and DiCaprio’s “Wolf of Wall Street.” Sources say Scorsese showed producer Irwin Winkler his newest cut on Friday, clocking in at around two hours and 45 minutes. (We’ll take it!)

Some other guests at the knockout affair included Tom Hanks, Jake Gyllenhaal, Zoe Saldana, Kate Hudson, Robert Downey Jr. and his producer wife Susan, Jeremy Renner, Amy Adams and Darren Gallo, Catherine Keener and Salma Hayek.http://www.showbiz411.com/2013/11/03/sting-serenades-scorsese-at-a-list-gala-in-hollywood-with-beatty-fonda-dicaprio-and-more
