Yes, we could wait outside the building and hit them with our Leo posters , or we could cut out of big pieces of wood gigantic L's and clobber them with them :p

haha look what I found, Leo's nomination for best supporting actor in 1994. Man, I didn't knew the competition was in that level for Leo in that year, I mean Ralph Fiennes, Tommy Lee Jones, John Malkovich and Pete Postlethwaite, great actors and even that Leo was just 19 he could beat them all with his spetacular performance.

Don't know if was posted before but, best supporting actor role 94. My gosh, he looked so cute, he didn't seemed to believe he was there and I liked the reaction when they announce his name and show his scene.

But hey Tommy Lee won for that silly movie? If was one of the other actors nominated wouldn't be so unfair to Leo.

Maybe some of you already mentioned but, I wonder if Leo actually will be in LA before Christmas.

I know the Lakers begins to play the 19. Enough time for him to finish filming Gatsby once and for all and return to La to watch the games.

I Just wanna see that smile of him once again before year ends love1.gif

and this time, he will not go with a girlfriend but if he buys 3 extra tickets... Oxf, Pami and I will be happy to go with him. The problem will be for you two (Oxf and Pami) decide who will not sit by his side... :p

Barbie That's what I've been saying for the past 17 ??years bb.gif

and if they would have given him the award at the time, Now I wouldn't feel that bad if he isn't nominated

Barbie

Thanks for clips, and , yes, your statement below is exactly why Leo , the most deserving performance, didn't win. The powers that be said, "Oh, he's just a kid , he has plenty of time to win one .".

even that Leo was just 19

Or as my friend told me the Academy practices ageism It is rare to see a women over 35 win , and rare to see a man under 35 win. As Leo ages it will increase his chance to get nods /win and it will diminsh Kate's

As to Leo/L.A., whether Gatsby is finished or not most film productions do take a Christmas break, so we can expect Leo to be in L.A. for a few days at least.

Yes, it would be great if he was able to go to a Lakers' game.

Now to your statement below, since I'm Sweet Oxford I shall allow both you and dear Pami to sit on each side of Leo; I'll just sit in his lap :p

The problem will be for you two (Oxf and ami) decide who will not sit by his side

I see your point, ox. I also think Gilbert Grape was his most deserving performance from his 3 to win an Oscar, and yeah, it seems the age makes a difference, even that I still think is not fair.

This vid, Leo didn't won but look at his expression at 2:15 while Whitaker is talking, he seemed so moved by his speech, sweet eyes.

WOW! what delusional you're. He would be in a NOT so hard dilemma... Oxford or the game, Oxford or the game... post-51835-0-1446081669-02827_thumb.gif

Also you say that they thought

"Oh, he's just a kid , he has plenty of time to win one .".

NOW would be the perfect "time" Don't you think? :p

San Francisco critics weigh in : BA = Oldman BA Swinton.

So going into nods : NBR = Clooney , NYC=Pitt, LAC =Fassenbender SFC = Oldman Cannes = Dujardin

All so far have won at least one critics group award .

Barbie

Thanks for Oscar video :)

I think Leo's reaction speaks to the quality person he is .

ByPrincess

Yes , with me on Leo's lap it might well turn into a hard dilemma :p :p :p

ox: what's this you posted means exactly? another prediction for BA? I'am confused... this things are giving me headache already.

Unfortunatelly, I think I have to agree with you fash, I think he can have a better change to a nomination for GG because they separate actors in drama/musical/comedy categories, still not sure about this. I'am about to start to cry right now... :cry2:

I already read that article, is really sweet, thanks fash.

Barbie

I was stating that going into this week Pitt, Clooney, Oldman , Fassenbender, Dujardin have all won at least one critics group award , so most feel that with a win that enhances their chance for a nod versus an actor who hasn't won any critics awards going into nods.

Yes, as I mentioned before, GG with ten acting nods always gives everyone a better chance, it really all depends on if they place Dujardin in musical/comedy and where they place Gosling.

However, with the GG nominating people like Depp/Jolie last year for Tourist that only added fuel to the claim that their nods are based on having as many stars there as possible

Fash

There have been some occasions when a person received an Oscar nod that had not been nodded by BFCA/SAGs , but it is rare.

So , if Leo doesn't get a BFCA/SAGS then it is most likely he won't get an Oscar nod, but , who knows, we might all be surprised , and he would be one of those 'rare' nods :)

Last year Leo's friend Javier Bardem did not receive a BFCA,SAG, or GG nod , but he went on to receive an Oscar nod for Biutiful

Thanks for comments ; very sweet :)

ox: Honestly, I'am so down right now that I don't expect nothing more. :( :/ But thanks for the explanation.

Yeaaah. My hope has dwindled for him even being nominated, actually. :baronlamesign:

If he is? I will be really happy. But...I'm actually not even thinking he will. IDK, it's just a feeling I get because the industry is lame. UGH.

BUT OMG GATSBY PHOTO. YAAAAY! Hot.

These comments from his friends are too sweet!!!

hey Fash I want the first part of the interview... Please if you can

I had never read it  So cute all the words for him.

I honestly don't see Leo getting nominated for an oscar anymore :/ Hate to be a downer but it really is not looking good for him when you really look at the situation.

sadly Me neither  I try to have hope until the last moment but Now seems so far.

Barbie

Believe me when I came to the realization of how things 'really worked' I was disappointed , sad, angry. I guess it is part of growing up.

Sometimes we give an importance /value to things that are not worthy of it.

I think he'll have a good chance with Django possibly? Since it's a villain character and Harvey (*rolls eyes*) is behind it. So? Maybe best supporting?

SEE! Him winning an Oscar now has become more of a "jfc just rip the band-aid off already" instead of "he deserves it so much." At least IMO in ways.

STUPID ACADEMY. But, hey, this year was FULL of strong performances by men - Gosling, Pitt, Oldman, Leo, Fassbender, etc etc - so it's strong competition out there.

Bari Always has been strong competition but never BETTER than his. And he always left out... HATE THEM ALL!! YOU...................
