Saw this last night. DiCaprio just kills it - but the movie itself never rises to the level of his performance. While I enjoyed the film, it felt slightly leaden and oppressive for it's 2 hour plus running time, with a very, VERY desaturated color palette which doesn't vary from time period to time period, despite Eastwood pointing out that it was intended to. The make-up on Leo should win the Oscar. It is one hundred percent convincing, as is his performance. Less so with Armie Hammer and Naomi Watts. So great to see a film like this shot on 35mm, unlike the disappointing Michael Mann approach to PUBLIC ENEMIES

lol ok good to hear So so far everything we've heard about his performance has been very positive and so thus i'm expecting great reviews from the critics. I know not all the time the critics get it right.. but please please let the vast majority of the reviews be raves!!!
