Today has been the best day in a long time in regards to leo news .. all because of that

spread!!!

Amen to that!

And yes Miche, it seems Leo would make a fantastic male model. I would actually love if he became the face of some mens cologne or something like that. Tag huer modeling was cute, but I want something like a D&G or Armani ad :p

Fash

Not sure what you mean below ?

But I don't understand I think there's a hidden meaning here but I can't pick it up can you please bare with me and explain lol. Please and thank you

And, yes, if your complaining is the ticket to getting us such great new pix and article to read, we must have you do it more often !

Kat

And yes Michel , it seems Leo would make a fantastic male model.

Kat He would be absolutely amazing for Armani!!! I mean he's been friends with him for so long and represents him well when it comes to attending events so why not :p Maybe it'll happen who knows... I never thought Tobey would do Prada but he did... hope leo surprises us too !

From USA Today, more of the conversation with Leo and Clint about J Edgar and the forthcoming movie

Leonardo DiCaprio has teamed with director Clinton Eastwood for J. Edgar, the story of legendary FBI chief J. Edgar Hoover, opening in November.

One aspect of the film that has been questioned since the start is how Eastwood will handle the rumors that Hoover, played by DiCaprio, was gay.

GQ's Mark Harris asks the two about it in an interview for the magazine's October issue.

"I'd heard all the various controversies and gossip—that he wore dresses at parties," says Eastwood. "Everybody was saying, maybe he's gay because he'd never gotten married. But that's the way they did it back in the '40s. If a guy didn't get married, they always thought, Oh, there's something wrong with him."

But didn't he have something approaching a long-term marriage with Clyde Tolson, associate director of the FBI (played by Armie Hammer)?

"Well, they were inseparable pals," says Eastwood. "Now, whether he was gay or not is gonna be for the audience to interpret. It could have been just a great love story between two guys. Or it could have been a great love story that was also a sexual story."

DiCaprio explains, "What we're saying is that he definitely had a relationship with Tolson that lasted for nearly fifty years. Neither of them married. They lived close to one another. They worked together every day. They vacationed together. And there was rumored to be more. There are definite insinuations of—well, I'm not going to get into where it goes, but…"

Interrupts Eastwood: "It's not a movie about two gay guys. It's a movie about how this guy manipulated everybody around him and managed to stay on through nine presidents. I mean, I don't give a crap if he was gay or not."

Adds Leo: "If I were a betting man, I actually don't know what I would bet [regarding his sexuality]."

Fash

Thanks , I will check for your pm :)

How kind of you to be willing to make that sacrifice for all of us . :p

Thanks Oxford!! Loving this GQ interview and photos!

And yesss fash Armani would be incredible! Leo would make a very good male model. Hes got very good bone structure, and great hair and piercing eyes. And you can see in pics of photoshoots of him back in the 90's he could totally pass for a professional model!

Maybe someday in the future...

love this tweet from Warner Brothers! Classy he is indeed!

wbpictures Warner Bros Pictures

Two of the classiest men in Hollywood. Clint Eastwood & @LeoDicaprio on gay marriage, big business & #JEdgar: http://gqm.ag/p8SPCc

Thanks Ox for USA article

Kat Your comment about how Leo could be a professional model reminds me of this professional male model who many say looks like a young Leo. Some guy by the name of Barnaby Dunn .. heard of him? Do you think they look alike?

http://www.bellazon.com/main/index.php?showtopic=22814

^Wow, he kinda does!! He looks alot like Leo during the Beach era and haircut. They have similar brows, eyes, and similar cheekbones. Barnaby is pretty cute  Of course he looks similar to Leo

Fash

Thanks for WB tweet, yes, Leo is classy for sure ! :)

Also, please do complain that we still haven't seen a photo of Carey as Daisy !!!

I really want to see a still of Leo and Carey as Jay & Daisy.

Those pics are killing me  , but what about the interview? Great interview. Clint is so inteligent and Leo, oh Leo, what tell about Leo... .

OMG, this photoshoot is killing me, Leo looks extremely SEXY AND HOT, dribble.gif I loved all the pics but mainly the one he's on the chair. I need cold water... blush.gif haha

Hahahaha... I'm with you, Barbie.:laugh: Wow, my humor is very black today... have to control myself.

Hey sick, in your avi is Tom Felton? Wow... I really appreciate your choices :p . He's a talented young actor that I like.

A doubt: now that Titanic will be re-released in 3D, Leo and Kate will receive image rights or something like that? I was thinking about it and I'm not so sure... I know they received to record the movie, but I think that relaunch would give to the actors some more money. I'm wrong?

Hey fash, I realized now that you have almost 10,000 posts on Bellazon... you work hard, girl  .

Thanks girls for the photos and news  .

Ok can do Oxford lol!

Where in the world are the pics of Carey as Daisy? The movie has been shooting for over a week... where are the paps? Are all her scenes being shot in the studio or something? Don't get me started on duo pics of Leo and Carey :shakes head profusively:

Great point though lol! I REALLY want to see those stills too!

Nanda lol guess it shows I spend too much time on here

Yes you are right this is a great place to meet people from all over the world and almost everybody seem very nice!! However, this thread is the best thread on the entire forum no doubt about it!

Nanda

Thanks for news of latest actor to join "Django" cast :)

Gee, with its planned Dec 2012 release , it looks like once again, Leo might have two films released at same time

As recent articles have stated that Gatsby is ,also, due for a Dec 2012 release.

Fash

I'm confident that Baz is listening to you :p :p

It's just amazing that someone was able to get a photo of Leo on his first day on the set in full costume, yet, we've never seen any pix of Carey , Tobey, or Joel in costume on the set.

I realize Leo is the 'money shot', but still, surely someone took more than just photos of Leo .

Thanks for all the pix and news! :flower:

The Leo Tapes

Leonardo DiCaprio has his pick of roles in Hollywood. But not much gets him excited. So what accounts for his choosing to play the despicable and probably closeted FBI legend, J. Edgar Hoover? Simple: Director Clint Eastwood. In this excerpt of GQ's October cover story, the two agree on a lot more than you might think

My my what beautiful man. I'm not even a huge fan of the way they styled his hair or some of the clothes, but he looks absolutely smashing. My favorites are of him wearing the Armani gray pinstripe suit... how often do we get to see Leo in fitted pants? We need to see the outtakes! :D The pic Leo and Clint is awesome too, and the interview sounds really good from the excerpts. I hope they do more press together. :)

Leonardo DiCaprio: "My introduction to acting in films was with De Niro in This Boy's Life. When I got the part I was 15, and somebody said, 'Do you realize who you're gonna work with?' I said, 'Yeah, I guess.' And they said, 'No, no, no. Go watch all of his films, and then go see these people's films.' So I obsessively watched films on VHS, and I remember feeling so overwhelmed by what had been done in cinema already. Watching a young Brando or James Dean or Montgomery Clift, I was like, Oh, my God, how can anyone ever hope to achieve that type of greatness?"

"For my generation, it's always the '70s. That period where you felt like the hands were being dealt back in the director's favor. The studios realized that letting them tell their stories was something the audience had a hunger for. And of course, it all went awry. [They both laugh.] Taxi Driver to me is the ultimate independent-movie performance. Playing a character like Travis Bickle is every young actor's wet dream."

GQ: [To Eastwood] You've described yourself as a social libertarian. What does that mean to you?

Clint Eastwood: I was an Eisenhower Republican when I started out at 21, because he promised to get us out of the Korean War. And over the years, I realized there was a Republican philosophy that I liked. And then they lost it. And libertarians had more of it. Because what I really believe is, let's spend a little more time leaving everybody alone. These people who are making a big deal out of gay marriage? I don't give a fuck about who wants to get married to anybody else! Why not?! We're making a big deal out of things we shouldn't be making a deal out of.

Leonardo Dicaprio: That's the most infuriating things watching people focus on these things. Meanwhile, there's the onset of global warming and

Clint Eastwood: Exactly!

Leonardo Dicaprio: and these incredibly scary and menacing things with the future of our economy. Our relationship to the rest of the world. And here we are focusing on this?

Clint Eastwood: They go on and on with all this bullshit about "sanctity don't give me that sanctity crap! Just give everybody the chance to have the life they want.

Leonardo Dicaprio: It's the great diversion. Politicians are masters at getting you to be on their side so that you don't look at how big business

Clint Eastwood: I love big businsess! [They both laugh.]

Clint Eastwood: I love big business if it hires everybody and does all the right things, and if they get off track then they'll have to deal with whatever--

Leonardo Dicaprio: But they often do get off track, unfortunately. See, now you've got us in a political debate!

I love the pix but the actual interview is kinda disappointing cuz there's not much new or really personal - but I guess that's the way Leo wants it now. Thanks everyone!

Can anyone tell what is written on Leo's shoe in this GQ photo ?

Why Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt Are the Frontrunners in Oscar's Best Actor Race (Analysis)

Both A-listers -- who next star in "J. Edgar" and "Moneyball," respectively -- have been nominated in the past, but neither has ever won.

As I see it, Oscar nominations are certainly possible for picture, director, adapted screenplay and even score, but the film's biggest threat to do some awards damage -- and indeed the heart and soul of the film itself -- is Pitt. I don't see how he doesn't get nominated (playing a real, likable, noble character very well checks off a lot of boxes), and, having now seen almost all the films with possible best actor candidates (with J. Edgar, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio as J. Edgar Hoover, being the one glaring exception), I truly believe that he could even win.

After all, who else is there with a serious shot in the category? Yes, George Clooney is very good in The Descendants, but it's a downer of a movie, and besides, he has already won once before, just six years ago, so it's unlikely that he'll be awarded another (especially over DiCaprio or Pitt, who have yet to win their first). And, sure, it's possible that Frenchman Jean Dujardin could pull off a Roberto Benigni-like shocker for his first-rate work in the black-and-white silent film The Artist, but my guess is that a nomination, in and of itself, will be his award.

That leaves Pitt, 47, and DiCaprio, 36, which could make for a very interesting race. Neither has ever won before. Both are popular people and respected craftsmen. Both rose to prominence in the early '90s -- Pitt through Thelma & Louise (1991), DiCaprio through What's Eating Gilbert Grape? (1993) -- and have been working steadily, at high levels, ever since, in collaboration with tons of people who are now in the Academy. Thus far, Pitt has scored one supporting nod, for Twelve Monkeys (1995), and one lead nod, for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008), for a grand total of two; DiCaprio, meanwhile, has scored one supporting nod, for What's Eating Gilbert Grape? (1993), and two supporting nods, for The Aviator (2004) and Blood Diamond (2006), for a grand total of three.

It's silly to speculate too much about a Pitt v. DiCaprio race until we've actually seen DiCaprio's performance. That being said, I've heard from people who have already screened J. Edgar, but are not working on its behalf, who tell me that he will be hard to beat. Still, I wouldn't discount the fact that the real-life inspiration for Pitt's character, unlike DiCaprio's, is (a) likable, and (b) still alive and able to endorse the performance. At the end of the day, especially in a close race, those two things could make all the difference.
