From interview with actor who has part in J Edgar

PC: Denis O’Hare - who was just on Alan Ball’s TRUE BLOOD -and Aaron Lazar have both done this column and they are in Clint Eastwood’s J. EDGAR with you. Do you share any scenes?

JS: Yeah, they are both in it. Denis is really one of the greats, isn’t he? In my scenes in J. EDGAR, though, I am mostly with DiCaprio and Naomi Watts, not those guys.

PC: Do you have any scenes with Armie Hammer?

JS: No, I didn’t have any stuff with Armie. Sadly, because I was doing J. EDGAR I missed doing the big dance number here, but I think it was worth it in this case.

PC: I was going to ask what the reason was you didn’t do the song!

JS: Yeah, yeah - I was off doing J. EDGAR.

PC: Did you enjoy your experience working on the film?

JS: That movie was one of my - in the same way that it was working with Aaron Sorkin when I did a bunch of episodes of STUDIO 60 [ON THE SUNSET STRIP]; and on SIX FEET UNDER with Alan - favorite, best quality experiences. I find that here, too.

PC: How would you describe that feeling?

JS: Oh, it’s just like, “I am the luckiest person to do what I love and do it with these people.” I feel it here all the time and I felt it with DiCaprio and Naomi Watts. These are the professionals - these are the best. I say it all the time.

PC: The script is phenomenal for J. EDGAR, as well, I’ve heard.

JS: The guy who wrote MILK - Dustin Lance Black - wrote it. I mean, the script goes 1919-1970.

PC: So, it’s really tight then - like MILK?

Did anyone else see Lainey Gossip's most recent article about Leo and Blake ??

Missing Blake at TIFF

Blake Lively was on every list of expected attendees for TIFF 2011 for her movie Hick. And then the Hick premiere carpet came and went and she wasn’t on it. Instead, Chloe Moretz posed really hard.

Where was Blake?

Blake passed up a chance to promote her actress-ing at a film festival?

Blake was last photographed in New York working on Gossip Girl on Wednesday. Again, no one, not even sponsors, was told that she wouldn’t be in Toronto.

So...where is she?

Well, her boyfriend Leonardo DiCaprio has been shooting The Great Gatsby in Australia. And she’s already flown all the way over there once, for just 4 days, to see him. It’s a textbook Leo: spend a weekend undercover while all eyes are on Brange and Clooney at TIFF. See? Hardly anyone noticed. We were too busy being held hostage by George with Stacy for OVER FOUR HOURS.

If Blake did go to Australia though, I mean this is some kind of intense situation happening here. That Leo needs to see her as often as he does. That they can’t stand to be apart for too long. That he’s into her pretty hard right now, to the point where he’d ask her to skip her premiere. If she did go to Australia...

How did she DO that?

EDIT: So I just saw a tweet on Blakes thread of her filming Savages today. So I guess shes in Cali filming today. Its the first tweets we've actually gotten from her being on the Savages set, until then she was totally MIA!

Why these people is trying to compare Gosling to Leo?

Oh,lemme tell them a simple thing....GOSLING WILL NEVER BE BETTER THAN LEO! Sorry girls I needed to say it...I'm really over it!

It reminds me what I said before....Leo was a phenomenon, something special and they want to make up a new Leo anyway!

Tks Barbie for the wonderful pics and tks girls for the tweets and articles!!

Thanks girls for news, videos, pics (beautiful, Barbie) and tweets.

Oxford, you work hard... but the news that you posted and more impressed me was:

From Forbes : Highes Paid Men in Entertainment Industry... Leo ranks 8th, good job.

None new pix. Aussie paps? Let's work, guys  .

And to end this discussion Leo / Ryan... I agree with everything you've said, girls  .

In a world where already exists a LEONARDO DICAPRIO I don't need a Ryan Gosling (so-so... good shape, but not so good in general), Taylor Lautner (who?), Robert Pattinson (really????? I think I've said here's what I think about him... case closed!), James Franco (sometimes is good... 127 hours), Shia LaBeouf (boooring  ), Zac Efron (disappeared) and all the others. HANDS DOWN, LEO IS THE BEST AND ALWAYS WILL BE.

Whooohoo a new GQ interview and photos coming our way this week! :D Can't wait! GQ always comes through with the

NY Post

What do an 81-year-old Hollywood vet and a 36-year-old “Gossip Girl”-dating cinema darling have in common? A lot, apparently. Aside from politics. Leonardo DiCaprio and Clint Eastwood, a Democrat and libertarian, respectively, get their interview on in the October issue of GQ, out this week.

The duo worked together on a new film, “J. Edgar,” a drama exploring the furtive and feared FBI director, J. Edgar Hoover. It’s directed by Eastwood and stars DiCaprio. The flick’s slated for a November release. The two chatted it up for the men’s mag in Eastwood’s Warner Bros. lot “bungalow” in Burbank, Calif., where DiCaprio took to resting his “swollen, eggplant-colored foot” — courtesy of a day-old basketball injury — atop the coffee table.

When they aren’t being pressed into a political debate, the topics of conversation steer more industry-heavy. DiCaprio laments the dismal market for “$60-to-$100-million rated-R dramas.”

“There’s no middle ground between low-budget artistic and big-budget studio films anymore,” he says.

Eastwood admits that DiCaprio’s shunning of the latter helped land the “Titanic” star the role of Hoover.

“If Leo had been running around in tights and a cape doing comic-book movies and came to me and said, ‘Hey, I want to play Hoover,’ I don’t know,” Eastwood says.

Of course, when Eastwood goes off about his distaste for the recent tidal wave of 3-D movies, DiCaprio is immediately questioned about his upcoming role as Jay Gatsby in the 3-D adaptation of the Fitzgerald novel.

DiCaprio demures that director of the “Gatsby” flick wants to try it for “dramatic purposes.”

Eastwood’s response?

“Oh, I see.” When they’re not yearning for the paparazzi-free days of yesteryear (well, actually, Eastwood’s era), the two dance around the issue of Hoover’s sexuality.

“If I were a betting man, I actually don’t know what I would bet [regarding his sexuality],” says DiCaprio.

“It’s gonna be for the audience to interpret,” Eastwood adds. “It’s not a movie about two gay guys. It’s a movie about how this guy manipulated everybody around him and managed to stay on through nine presidents. I mean, I don’t give a crap if he was gay or not.”

Hi I decided to intervene in the matter Oscar - Leo. I'm not a fan of Leo for a long time. But honestly is a shame for the Academy has not given an Oscar to Leo. :anger: In my opinion he should have received an Oscar for Departed, Aviator and Blood Diamond. Seeing all his movies this summer I was impressed with so much talent. There is none like Leo, maybe Robert De Niro. Gosling is a good actor but is far from the quality of Leo.

What great news you have brought us , thanks :)

I can't wait to buy it !!!!

Also, I can't remember , who posted the twitter conversation long ago, but I remember awhile back there was a tweet from a guy who was playing basketball

at Leo's house .

And in the twitter conversation the guy mentioned that Leo wasn't playing because he was injured.

Well, the GQ comment below tells us the guy's comment was accurate, Leo was on injured reserve :p

Thanks for Titanic clip :)

In response to your comment below, I know something I would like to discuss with everyone :

Is there any movie /movie role since 1997 to now , that you watched , and thought to yourself as you were watching , that you wished Leo had been able to play the part ?

So lets discuss some Leo stuff... anyone have any ideas?

Another article about upcoming GQ/Leo interview

The photo on the left looks new to me

Throughout my career, I never knew which movies of mine made money and which didn't. When Titanic came out, people would say, 'Do you realize what a success this is?' And I'd say, 'Yeah, yeah, it's a hit.' The [money] stuff never mattered to me until I was into my thirties and got interested in producing, and people would show me charts explaining what finances a movie, what you'll make from foreign, what you'll make from domestic, what you need to make an R-rated film that's a comedy versus a drama. But even now I say that unless you want to prove that you can carry a film with your name, continuously trying to achieve box-office success is a dead end."
