He doesn't really fit in at Madrid (he's also not willing to speak Spanish it would seem), but at least he tries hard for the team...unlike...others

Real Madrid without him was only a shadow of the team that won spanish league. Other problem was that Florentino Perez wanted all his stars to shine. Carlos Quiroz had to pack all big names to line-up. Figo had to play on the right, so they invented that Becks will be playing in center as defensive midfielder, with Guti. At the beginning he played quite good. I won't be criticizing Bekcham at all, but he is little to slow, and he hasn't enough technic skills to play as winger in Spain. the Glazers have already spent money on Evra and Vidic. the next player they need is a solid midfielder . . . The name of this midfielder is Ballack.
