December 25, 20159 yr #25DaysofGiving: Toni Garrn In the true spirit of the holidays, The Society and our talents are giving back through #ToysforTots to gift children with brand new toys so all kids can enjoy a happy holiday season. From Dec. 1st to the 25th, we have featured individual talents daily on our Instagram with what they’ve chosen for gifting, with posts highlighting a few for our blog as well! Check out who we’ve featured so far here. Our sixth and final highlighted talent and generous giver is Toni Garrn, who works closely with Plan International to promote the importance of gender equality and education for young girls in underdeveloped countries. Click on the slideshow to learn more about her #TSMforTots story. Thank you all for following along our #25DaysofGiving story here and on social media, and we hope that this series has helped inspire you in one way or another to give back as well. Happy Holidays! "I can’t imagine little kids without anything to snuggle with at night - whether it be a stuffed animal, a sibling or a parent. So I hope whoever gets this little monkey will feel warmth and love. However, I do think there are a lot of brand new toys being thrown out nowadays, and I feel it’s equally important to support recycling old or broken toys so that while we do good, we aren’t creating extra waste either." "Any charity I partake in is always going to be based around children - they are the future and we need to take great care of them starting from now. I’m most involved with Plan International and I work on young women education and gender equality. I’m currently sponsoring four little girls who I've also given gifts to!" "There’s also a handicapped home near my hometown in Germany that I support greatly. It’s absolutely amazing because it’s just this one couple whose kid is also handicapped taking care of 50 kids - it’s such a huge relief for the parents of these kids. The home however has very limited funding and I’d love to help raise money for them in whatever way possible." "For the new year, I wish happiness and love for every single child in this world. There are many many wonderful kids I’ve visited in the past who had absolutely nothing and were sleeping and playing on the ground - but they were still so grateful and happy. So I think happiness is definitely the best thing that could happen to a child." blog.thesocietymanagement.com Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!

December 28, 20159 yr New interview in German. I won't translate because there's nothing new really. http://www.welt.de/regionales/hamburg/article150255307/Ich-wollte-nie-Model-werden.html Except for one thing: [...] You walk for VS regularly. [...] The show is a huge event. Every model wants to be part of it, the pressure is on. You meet the big names of the business at the castings. Sounds nerve-wracking. It is. I was very nervous at first, but it worked out well. I felt safer the next time. The runway isn't as long as it looks on [...] Do you also watch the show on TV? To be honest, I never watch it. I once tried, but then I couldn't find it on TV because I mixed up the American time zones. You missed it? Yeah, it's a bit embarrassing. (laughs) But I watched it on the Internet later, at least. You didn't walk this year, though. I was thinking about it for a long time and then decided against it. It wouldn't have worked out schedule wise. And somehow I didn't think it was appropriate. Why not? I started working for girls' rights. [...] It felt wrong to walk the runway half-naked a What do you guys think about this? While I understand her reasoning, it's not like she doesn't do commercial stuff either way. She was on the cover of Lui half-naked shortly after VS. (I know, it's high quality, VS isn't.) I don't want her to walk the show anyways, after this year's crap, but I think she would have gone to castings if she had known she stands a chance to get in. I think it was clear from the beginning they most probably wouldn't cast her. (Can't blame her though, I wouldn't tell the journalist 'Well, you know, the dumped me' either.)

I think we should stop thinking about the reasons. Of course everyone ( not only from Bellazon ) knows that not casting her is a big mistake but after watching the last two VS shows there is nothing new. Sometimes I think I have better ideas than all the VS crew especially Serkan. The way they used recycled wings for their 20th ANNIVERSARY, it's a shame and some pieces like the one on Izabel in Ice Angels from his couture show... I hope more for Toni to walk some HF shows next seasons but at the end of the fashion week everything will be the same - no shows in Paris and Milan, one in NY (Karigam).
December 28, 20159 yr sorry, just saw that somehow the last line of the interview got deleted. It's meant to say "...half naked for a commercial brand like VS at the same time."
December 28, 20159 yr Lol, what a bullshit interview. VS didn't want her so she's bitter about it. And women's rights have nothing to do with nudity. Not to mention that VS has a lot less nudity than a single Lui shoot. What an airhead...
