It will be helpful for the IDing for all of us 😜Last but not least - I checked and searched for all the other agency books outside of Elite and I don’t have them here at home and they must be inside a big cartonbox inside a storage room I rented and which is on the other side of the city. Will bring them with me next time I’m there. Heavy affair…..so bear with me but they will come and they are pretty cool and I have never seen them online before 🧐Happy evening, y‘all! 🥂🍻Happy evening friends

We can ask the moderators to add 1980s to the tags later

Thanks, dear. May I ask why most of these cards in general are in black-white?
November 5Nov 5 Author 3 minutes ago, missparker7 said:Cool! Thanks, dear. May I ask why most of these cards in general are in black-white?Sure! Producing those agencybooks, headsheet posters and composites in general was really really expensive until the mid 90s. Original photos had to be gathered of all models. Those had to be sent internationally by messenger to the printer etc. All before Computer and scanning times. Then massive costs for the courier to ship the finished books to the agencies. I think we got 400 books every year and you can imagine how expensive the shipping had been ;) Then sending all books out by hand to the clients and those postal costs were enormous again. So producing those books and giving them away for free to clients had been a terribly expensive affair for the agencies. Of course everything could have also been produced in color but then it would have been financially totally out of proportion for the agencies. Only in the mid/end 90s it was all getting cheaper and we were able to save costs for messengers etc due to the internet and data files and then color became more affordable for the agencies :)

Yes, I didn´t thought of the costs. I don´t want to think about how many of these model agency books ended in the trash. If they knew for much they sell today they might have kept them.😄

October 1983 #2225 by Rudy MolacekMade a mistake - I read McGuire so often here during the past weeks that I confused McGuire and McDermott 😆 She is Deidre McDermott and thanks for making me aware. I unfortunately cannot modify my old posts anymore to be able to correct it though 🙁 McGuire was before my agency times but I remember her well when being a teen. She was the „Stu Stu Studioline by L‘Oreal“-girl on TV for many moons…..🤣

But ok it is a 79 book and possibly one of the 1st books. There is a 90s Europe book on German EBay that I saw recently and it was 70 or 80€ from what I remember.
