Okay, its true that Graham's chubbed up in the past ten years and developed a few Pleat-esque toad like features but back in the day he was a glorious specimen, the best looking England manager since Alf Ramsey! Meow

Best interview since the last part of Frost/Nixon. Tarantino's dumb for the "you're not German enough" line, though I'll let it slide if he can remember how to make a decent film again.

Hold up brother, let me spread the good word; GT turned Villa around when he came to helm in '87. He's also easily one of the nicest men in the footballing world. David Pleat got caught curb crawling and managed Luton Town. Its really like comparing James Taylor to James Blunt.
  4. I would urge you to give Fleetwood Mac self-titled and Mystery to Me a try. And for a fun live show, The Dance.
  5. Which albums of the following?

SS, I was still editing! Now everyone will know! Don't you mean Graham Taylor? He did a documentary for ITV about England managers a while back.

Ha, David Pleat is a sort of freakish TV institution over here, presumably at this stage only employed to say his token daft zingers. They tried something similar with Bobby Robson, but it was less funny because you suspect that while Pleat is a complete and utter wackjob, Robson is just a old tired man who doesn't know what's going on half the time.

As inevitably pointless as I suspected. Hopefully Hatton gets the message now.

Someone buy me the new 3-disc Prince record, please.

I love the book, too. Unfortunately Nick Hornby has a hatred for prog-rock era Genesis, something I could never endorse.

Michael, I'm flattered but don't you think we should focus on the ga-WAIT a minute, do you mean the film Everyone Says I Love You? In that case, you are correct!

I better be credited in the bibliography properly! For what its worth, I always imagined Ed looking like the actor Bradley Cooper, and SS basically being Rob Gordon from High Fidelity.

Wait, did Ed say he was a shrink in waiting? Has he been studying our behaviour all this time? gfjhgghmmhm

Please name the guilty pundits, Ed! Chinese commentary is so boring, they make the whole thing seem like a chore. Then they go back to the studio and two really tired looking middle-aged dudes, WHO'VE NEVER PLAYED FOOTBALL IN THEIR LIVES, talk about the virtues of zonal marking or whatever. Jamie Yeo co-hosts Nokia Football Crazy on ESPN Asia, with some blokey Australian. Its one of those 'footytainment' programs, and is therefore almost entirely an obnoxious waste of time. The redeeming feature is Yeo, who while lacking knowledge, is as cute as a button. She even keeps a blog, which is so unbelievably candid that you find out nuggets of information you probably didn't need to know, including how she first masturbated at the age of 6 (yes, really).

You get the Match of the Day in Belgium? Did not know that. You're so right about Robbie Earle but in my eyes Andy Townsend is a king among men, not for his punditry, but because he was Villa captain when I was a boy and having met him I can confirm his all-round decency. Also, he was the front man for ITV's greatest ever idea, The Tactics Truck. Who will ever forget watching Ugo Ehiogu, having just made his debut for Middlesboro in a 0-4 defeat against Arsenal, get schooled by his ex-teammate on his man marking, whilst perched in a ridiculously small confined space. What about World Cup coverage? Which big guns do Belgian TV bring in to captivate the home audience? I hope Ed weighs in on this, he probably knows who Jamie Yeo is.

Friends, I need your assistance. I need information regarding overseas coverage of the Premiership; whatever country you're in, whatever you can give me. Ideally though, information/opinions about the pundits, presenters, commentators is what I'd be looking for. The purpose of which is for a project that will no doubt end up not happening (not a book, or anything exciting, I assure you). PM me anything useful, should you feel inclined.

Please post more young Diane, circa Play It Again, Sam. Anything post-Manhattan is irrelevant to me.

Managers used to feud properly, like Clough and Revie. Now they all whinge relentlessly like tedious little bitches, whilst sweaty journalists wait on their knees to lick their faces in gratitude.
