It was easier back in the day with Adriana and Heidi because their was only like 6 Angels and they had it be paired with the veterans. Now you have 14 Angels with 5 of them being vets and rest of them being models than are still trying to grow within the company. Plus Heidi was building on her brand by being in Sports Illustrated and on tv shows. At the time models were still getting the majority of the magazine covers and cosmetic campaigns and they didn't have to compete with the likes of celebrities, reality show/social media models/personalities like the Hadid and Jenner sisters and nepotism models like these models have to. If some people didn't think you looked like a VS Angel (Karlie Kloss), it didn't matter if you paired her in events with Adriana or Candice because it only stood on contrast on the difference on what an Angel was supposed to looked like. I'm curious as to why they didn't fire Ed or make changes with those that chose who gets to be an Angel in the first place.
