  1. ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ Tracking at $30-35 Million Opening Here is some very good news for Martin Scorsese and Apple. “Killers of the Flower Moon” is long-range tracking to earn $30-36 million in the film’s opening weekend. This is much higher than initial projections. ‘Killers’ is also said to be tracking very well overseas. I can believe this. The trailers are incredible and Leonardo DiCaprio is still a draw. There’s also plenty of Oscar buzz for this film. Apple must be ecstatic about these early numbers. This is a 3 and a half hour, R-rated historical drama, but if “Oppenheimer” has taught us anything it’s that mainstream audiences still crave smartly crafted, adult-oriented storytelling on the big screen. Apple spent $200 million on ‘Killers,’ mostly for the prestige, Oscar noms and the fact that it could bring in big numbers on their streaming platform. Breaking even was an added bonus, although now it might just happen, and then some. Scorsese’s last two films barely made any money. 2016’s “Silence” grossed $22 million, on a $50 million budget, and 2019’s “The Irishman,” which was produced by Netflix, had only been granted a brief, and limited, 2-week theatrical release by the streamer. “Killers of the Flower Moon” stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Lily Gladstone and Jesse Plemons. It will be released theatrically on October 20th, via Apple and Paramount.

    She's so gorgeous
  5. ^Interesting @akatosh thx for sharing I think the only other GATSBY movie I ever saw was the 1974 one with Robert Redford. He's obviously handsome but I didn't like the movie nor his interpretation of the character. Maybe because he looks so dull and stiff next to Leo. He's like a goddamn firework compared to all the others. 😅 I liked some of the aesthetics though.
  6. Don't know why but this took me a while 😄 Gatsby is some complicated/complex dude. 03 JAY GATSBY born: 1890 in North Dakota age: 32 zodiac sign: cancer (most likely) characteristics: strong values, deep, complex, ambitious, intense, intuitive, introvert, makes decisions based on his emotion, is looking for mutual support, prefers close/intimate relationships, misunderstood, highly private, likes to feel appreciated and recognition optics: wealthy, clean, golden (money rarely looked better) physical appearance: tall, handsome, tanned, trimmed family status: hidden sense of fashion: fashionisto street look: flirting game: expensive; he's literally buying you world charming level: initial nervous, kinda shy and clumsy what makes him even more adorable for you. but when he passes this phase of awkwardness he's charming and attentive on another level first date: just you and him somewhere in his car because he avoids big crowds. He's happy just looking at you for hours, talking and holding your hand. jealousy level: very high (when he's in love he only sees you and expects very much the same from you so stay focused girl) hottest moment: most memorable quote: sense of humor: the what? (not meaning he can't be fun at all) preference(s): cuddling preferably naked so he can feel every inch of your skin on his body also you under him sweaty from all the pleasure he made you everywhere, your lips locked he's also kinda obsessed with your neck (the softness and smell); he also get turned on by the noises you make when he sucks on your sensitive skin loving skills: tender, perfectionist, gentleman but also likes the risk to get caught sometimes aka you guys making out in inappropriate places a lot (like during parties or in your parents house - naughty boy) (rivals watch your girls is all I'm saying here LOL) pros: driven, charming, direct, romantic, devoted, dreamy, hopeful, innocent, resourceful, caring cons: obsessive, blind for the reality, stuck in the past, delusional, clingy, stalkerish tendencies, brooding

  8. I kinda like how they are all connected and still supporting each other independent of Leo. They're actually showing more grace and integrity than most of his fans lol

  12. Oscars: Lily Gladstone Submitted as Lead Actress for ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ Well, the guaranteed win is clearly gone. Lily Gladstone was said to be the Supporting Actress frontrunner for her wonderful turn in “Killers of the Flower Moon,” but that’s no more. Gladstone has been submitted as Lead Actress by Apple. A total surprise move on the streamer’s part. I don't know if she'll win, but it's not unreasonable at all to believe that she’d rather be seen as a lead. This is what I think happened. Apple knew she could win Supporting, but they saw the current Best Actress field of contenders and told themselves, “hey, we can win this.” With good reason. I think Gladstone can pull this off. This year’s Best Actress category is not that strong. The current crop of contenders has Emma Stone (“Poor Things”), Carey Mulligan (“Maestro”), Margot Robbie (“Barbie”), Sandra Huller (“Anatomy of A Fall”), Annette Benning (“Nyad”) and Natalie Portman (“May December”). I will admit that Gladstone’s performance in ‘Killers’ is very much a supporting turn, but the film is 206 minutes and she does have a lot of screen time. It helps that her sad-eyed performance as Lily Burkhart is absolutely sublime. In fact, Lily is the emotional center of the story. It makes sense. So, now that we have that out of the way, what’s the deal with Supporting Actress? Who’s actually going to be nominated? That category is currently a ghost town. Emily Blunt in “Oppenheimer”? Da’vine Joy Randolph in “The Holdovers”? Julianne Moore in “May December”? There isn’t much to choose from. Maybe “The Color Purple” actress Danielle Brooks, who has been getting strong buzz these last few months, might sneak in there somewhere. Regardless, Apple has just shaken up the acting race with their Gladstone submission and now countless pundits are scrambling to change their predictions tonight. If nominated, Gladstone would make history as the first Native American nominee in the category. Source
