Oh yes they do have Barbara, her fame however, to me just reeks of social media fame rather than general public fame. Idk how to say it. They have Candice yes and she is the closest thing to Adriana’s dominance but there’s still a huge gap between them in terms of public recognition and overall success.

Adriana’s VS success is now cemented as unparalleled for eternity 😂. She left at the nick of time after being the star angel for YEARS! Damn I want her kind of good karma. Feels like VS gave up on the show because there really is no need to be on tv anymore and also there isn’t any angel left that people remotely care about.

I don’t follow SI swimsuit issue that closely but I feel like even without following them in the past, I knew some of their models by name or face like Brooklyn and Irina (Kate Upton was in a league of her own, sad to see her disappear into obscurity). But now the only ones I know this year are Lais and Barbara? Am I missing anyone? Also, what is with them jumping on the ‘woke’ train by casting overweight girls? Like I feel bad saying this but that is just not it! I embrace full bodied models in the industry like Ashley (before she lost all the weight) but damn, I had to double check to confirm if those overweight girls were as big as they looked. It’s just not a healthy image or message and most of them look like they needed a whole team to fit them in the swimsuits.

Speaking of redundance...Do you have it in you to just have a decent dialogue without doing the most? I feel sorry for people who have to be around your crass ass and flawed logic on a regular. The fact that you don’t understand Chanel caters to the upper class 1% while VS caters to the middle/working class with a greater audience is monumental. i know VS’s failure is fundamental to you but try to contain yourself.

Which average Joe/Jane do you know that’s excited for Chanel shows every season? I mean I get your whole point but wrong example. Also, the concept of half naked women walking in lingerie on tv was still kinda fresh and new during the golden era and yes the company itself was better back then but it’s the fascination that’s gone. The whole idea is tired. Even if they revamped and stayed on tv it wouldn’t make that much of a difference. It took them forever to realize this but hey, better late than never. I’m sure they’ll venture into streaming which is on par with the times more than anything.

Sis I know you just didn’t say the “alleged” biggest fashion event 😂😂😂😂 On a more serious note though, I’d have loved to see her there but yes. I too read that the gala is starting to lose its prestige that some celebrities turn down the invitation. I mean, I never thought about it that way but it is indeed true that Adriana is not one to kiss people’s asses. And I’ve never seen her try to get closer to Anna or campaign for a US Vogue cover. That’s not to say she’d turned down an opportunity to front the magazine but yeah it really does look like she doesn’t care. Her career basically is built on living in the moment and enjoying the things she loved. Girl told British Vogue that she knows she’s supposed to care about fashion but she doesn’t. Take from that what you will. I hope she goes to Canness. Oscars weekend and Cannes have more diverse attendees than MET so if she wants connections, that’s where she’ll get them.

Fingers crossed it’s a cover. It’s about damn time. I mean I don’t even care if it’s not Vogue. I’d take Elle, Bazaar or W. I hope one of them is an American publication as well. Honestly she’s not really a cover girl and that’s cool, but I think at least 3 covers a year should be the limit.

I think VS is trying to use the fashionova Instagram method where you have lots of brand ambassadors with different fans bases and different personalities. These ambassadors come up with their own mini photo shoots just for Instagram to promote the brand. VS using non angel social media influencers reminds me of that. I mean, I don’t know the girl who did the event with Alexina or the girl they posted on their ig from Coachella but I’m sure they all have a strong social media presence so tbh that at least is smart marketing because Fashionova became huge this way. Also, I’m glad they are now seeing the error of their ways and are back to doing press events/photo ops. From around 2011 to 2013/14ish they were basically doing events every other month and I think around that period the brand was doing well. They’ve done a lot of shitty decisions, like canceling Swim, the catalogs and events and they rode off on the high of the name of the brand for so long and it came to bite them in the ass. I’m glad they’re at least putting in effort
