Anyway, why are people on twitter claiming VS called Barbara P a plus size? VS might be so many things but I don’t recall them calling her that? Being SJW is so important to these people that when there is nothing out there to offend them, they start making up stuff

So going by that logic, a VS girl like Josephine who has a VS angel contract and a Maybelline contract, has to make two or 3 times (probably more) more than a girl who has a beauty contract and does two or 3 fashion campaigns a season + some editorials. That shouldn’t be hard to understand? And yes Taylor has a huge fan base, thanks to VS.

I think even though VS is stingy these days, they still pay more than most brands. That + the fact that it still gives you visibility and tbh you get to travel and meet different people in the industry like how the angels can get invited to big events like the VF Oscars party. Just think about where Romee or Taylor were 5 years ago versus where they are now. It’s still not that bad having an angel contract.

Gisele admitted to having plastic surgery? I knew it! She now has the sheen to her face most celebrities do when they start doing plastic surgery. When Gisele was 30 she looked much (embarrassingly) older than she does now. Did Alessandra admit to it as well? Also I understand what you mean by feeling sorry for all these models that are only in their early 30s but have started messing up with their faces. These girls are all rich and tbh if they stopped smoking, ate healthy, stay hydrated, moistured, used sunscreen, exercised, they’d still look the same as they did when they were 28. Also, that Forbes list is a joke, I thought we went over that?

I knew Adriana and Katie had a friendly relationship but I didn’t know they were actually friends and have known each other for that long. No wonder they keep working together. And one of my favorite eds of Adriana was the Amy Wineshouse story she did for Love magazine . That said, you guys, seems like Adriana is finally learning about the kind of post that get the most likes on Instagram 😂

VS better add one more 0 in Taylor’s salary before she leaves because she’s the best thing going on for them rn (which isn’t saying much— I’ll never get over her lifeless walk) They won the lottery by signing Barbara but I don’t know how much she can do for them. Their aesthetic of catering to teens has tremendously cheapen their brand and if they don’t start hiring models with unique physical and personality defining characteristics, their ship will continue sinking. Candice was on track to being their mega star but she just stopped growing at some point somehow. Lais, Elsa and Jasmine are cute but they’ve already peaked. What’s the point of Stella? Does she have dirt on someone at VS? i love Martha but I forget about her most of the time. I think they should keep Romee. She has that perfecf blonde Barbie thing going on for her and if they actually hired a model who contrasts and complements her look, they’d have a much more successful lineup. Hire a model like Duckie who is a total beauty and standout in every way, at least one Asian model and someone who has a bit of curves. Change your formula and make it sexy instead of cutesy and things will start getting better. I honestly don’t understand how in this age (where Instagram is basically there to provide free statistics in the form of likes and comments) VS is still so out of touch. i guess that’s what happens when stubborn old people are running a company in 2019. At least my fave freed herself from all this 😂

Maybe her mom encouraged her to pursue modeling as a career after she won that beauty pageant contest? Also, it’s so weird seeing Adriana acknowledge how famous she is. Lol obviously she knows she’s famous but I always had this feeling that she didn’t know just how admired she was around the world- I guess I felt that way because of the fact that she really hasn’t changed since the beginning neither has she become all snubbish and diva mode ever since she’s been famous

Wtf??? I knew business wasn’t booming but I didn’t know it was this bad! It’s their fault for refusing to get with the times, it’s not so much as their products aren’t good quality anymore but how they’re selling it. People are tired of seeing these cliché beautiful girls who are the same size. At this point I think Lara Stone with her gap tooth and big boobs can sell more for them than Martha H. I’ve noticed that people appreciate quirkiness in beauty now more than ever

I think Adriana is at the stage where she’s proving her influence and staying power in the industry. It’s the same way when Gisele’s VS contract wasn’t renewed and everyone was saying she’s so over but then before we knew what was happening Gisele became the face and fronted almost ALL the most important fashion houses that season and became even more business oriented. That to me was a power move telling people that she’s not going anywhere. I know it’s different but another model who landed on her feet was Kate Moss. After those pictures of her allegedly doing drugs surfaced, people thought she was over, but there she was going stronger than ever, securing countless magazines and campaigns. Adriana’s at that stage. She’s literally doing things most models can only dream of (even in their 20s) after she left VS and it’s super impressive because unlike Gisele who was in her 20s when she left VS, Adriana is in her late 30s now and tbh her career really is flourishing. It’s a I’ll-survive-with-or-without-you kinda tactic. She’d outlasted almost all of her peeers and the younger ones still have nothing on her. Now all she needs is some covers and editorials here and there and she’s good. About her social media presence, she still has room for improvement but she’s getting better at it. We all know Gisele’s power and status but there’s no way Gisele would have gotten more followers than her if Adriana posted the right stuff like Gisele does. Adriana is just a more appealing model than Gisele both commercially and in the mainstream.
