So I became a member quite a few days ago but this whole introduction thing kind of slipped my mind. I'm a 19 year old North African girl and I joined this forum because this is the only place where I can actually talk about models and other celebrities (especially models, because the major A-listers and international singers are pretty much universally famous, but models? No one here knows or cares about Adriana Lima and Gisele Bundchen. My parents' generation, unlike mine, is at least aware of the Supers like Naomi, Cindy...) I personally never cared about fashion (Still don't. Major designer collections like Prada or just A.Wang still look like garbage to me most of the time. Who the hell wears some of that...stuff?) Anyways, I only got to know models because I read an article once about Leo mentioning Gisele so I was like "Who's that?" The rest is history. My favourite models are Jac, Edita, Frida G, Elsa, Natasha Poly, Kate Upton, and Karlie Kloss. But I pretty much like all kinds of models from Vlada and Snejana, to Brooklyn Decker and Genevieve Morton. So again, hello and here's a cute picture of a dog to liven this topic up:

Her legs in this one On another note, I thought I should share the following video, it's a compilation of her runway appearances in her best seasons (S/S 2010 and especially Fall/Winter 10-11) Seeing this makes me realize how much I miss her on the runway (Although I definitely like the way her career's going now ). She has one of my favourite walks ever.

I'm North African and while a minority watches the latest movies in my country, no one gives a fuck about celebrities or remembers their names ("Lawrence who? And who is this Stone chick you keep harping about? Where do you find these unknowns?"). Nobody watches the Oscars either (Last year, when I told some of my friends about Daniel Day Lewis's record third win for Best Actor, their response was "Good for this 'Dewis' guy. And we should care... because??? ) But this year, pretty much everyone watched it (or at least actually bothered to learn the results) and was like "Why won't they give an Oscar to Leo already?) And when I pointed out that in some of their cases they didn't even watch any of the films nominated, my best friend told me this gem : "It's Leo, duh. The correct answer is always Leo...unless there's Johnny Depp involved because then it should be a joint award of awesomeness for both." :dance:

The Shawshank Redemption: 9/10. Oldie but I love this film. I have an unexplained fondness for Tim Robbins.

^Truthfully, I liked pretty much ALL of Leo's performances (even in the very beginning like This Boy's Life and What's Eating Gilbert Grape and for some unfathomable reason, I fell in love with him in The Beach even though I hated the movie) but in terms of character, WoWS wasn't the best for me. But anyways, looking forward to any of his future projects :wub2:

I don't think anyone thinks less of Leo's acting abilities because he didn't get an Oscar. Some of the best (and most well-paid ) actors never did and might never do. He doesn't need one but it would definitely be nice, non? Either way Leo, keep on rocking :dance: PS: I remember him at one point say that after WoWS, he planned on taking a long break from acting. Tell me he changed his mind, please

^Yes I got your point and I agree. I also think Hollywood loves roles which require drastic physical transformations (Off the top of my head, I can think of Matthew's weight loss, Jared's weight loss along with playing a trans, Anne Hathaway's weight loss for les Misérables, Charlize Theron's weight gain for Monster in 2003, Hilary Swank's minimal weight loss (compared to the others) along with playing a trans in Boys don't Cry, Robert de Niro's weight gain in Raging Bull... And they all got an Oscar for that specific role. Then again, drastic physical transformations show a certain amount of dedication)

I love Leo and he's my absolute favorite actor :wub2: ... but I didn't really want him to win. Aside from Mathew's outstanding performance, I don't want Leo to win an oscar for a role that wasn't exactly his strongest. He gave so many great performances that I personally thought he shouldn't have gotten it for the one that wasn't his best (although I would have been seriously happy if he did. I really did love WoWS and his acting was impeccable ). I don't know if I'm doing a good job explaining myself but anyways, hopefully next time Leo .

^I once read a Harry Potter fanfiction about Cedric Diggory (aka Rob) being a male stripteaser so that picture is even more hilarious to me. That's Draco Malfoy next to him, right?
