About the topic of Thomas vs. Sophia, even though Thomas had a pretty clear idea of the themes that were involved, you have to admit Sophia brought in models of more colors. With Todd around, we only had like 1-2 asians per show, and black models were around 3-4? With Sophia around, we've since gotten 4 Asians, 4-5 black models? And they all receive considerable attention for bringing diversity. Sophia's themes were much more disconnected because the flow wasn't there, but one thing I like about her is how most girls get wings. Thomas wouldn't even bat an eye on a non-angel, what more a non-Caucasian to get wings. When Thomas was designing, I have to admit he lacked diversity.

The long debate about models, lol. But I have to agree about one thing, that models like Elsa sell the brand better to the the Asian crowd. Someone like Adriana would have less influence in the Asian market because her features are much more sultry and bombshell while Elsa attracts the eyes of Asian viewers, because her features are much more exotic, soft yet still sufficient enough to maintain a sexy vibe. Even Alessandra and Josephine to that extent. Alessandra and Adriana are the best two comparisons you have. Adriana is the bombshell, and Alessandra is your timeless beauty. Even on stage, Adriana had always have more presence than Alessandra. But Alessandra always stood out more as the feminine, gorgeous one. Not saying either one is unattractive, it's just that a VS model with softer features yet capable of maintaining a sexy vibe will capture the attention of Asians much so than the typical bombshells you'd consider is the standards in the Western world. Adriana, Stella, Martha, Lily and maybe, Lais will not capture the eye of Asians. Someone like Taylor will be a massive hit with the Asian crowd tho. I guess it just falls down to the perception of beauty in Asian culture. There are times where I like Adriana, because she can really capture your attention, but it doesn't mean she's always the best standard of what VS can present. Even if she had the largest fanbase, Adriana is still very situational beauty. And the same is for Candice. Each model has her own personal attraction. But at the end of the day, the Western and Asian crowd have very different standards of beauty.

Yeah, shouldn't have put them together. Had a bit of hard time differentiating them at first.

I thought VS just announced the lineup of the angels not long ago, doesn't that mean they probably already renewed contracts?

I'm Asian and I find that article about cultural appropriation annoying. Seriously though, that's what you get from the modern generation. People cry at everything. Jasmine is starting to grow on me, been rewatching that BNA walk several times and she looks better every time I repeat it. This year she's full of energy and I think that's what makes her stand oud so much.

I don't know if its because I was disappointed by the fact that she gave up her Swav wings. While she had more presence in the runway this year, her poses were also pretty minimal and nervous. The gesture with Lady Gaga was very very beautiful tho.

I think after seeing all this pictures, I'm kinda over with Sui He. I got in to a lot of trouble and received lots of flak for attempting to "leak" the open information that Sui changed her Swavorski wings last minute with Lily D's. I still like her lots, but it's a shame that I got shitted and hated on by her group of protective fans. I probably just won't care that much about whether she got her wings or outfits next year and just silently wait for the surprise. I think she's got another year to go before Sophia and team starts axing her in favor of another Asian ie: Ming. Just a quick question though, do you y'all think her new pair of wings suited her outfit more than the Swarovski's? I like the Swarovski's better because I think it was a once in a lifetime opportunity to be chosen for a Swarovski wing. Lily D waited 4 years to get one, but Sui literally worked her ass off for 2 extra years to get it. It would been great if Sui soldiered on with her Swarovski based on that. Because right now, I think Sophia feels disappointed that she didn't live up to the team's expectations, and I wonder if that means she won't be favored for something so major like this next time. I LOVE LOVE LOVE her MR outfit though, it's so beautiful, those leggings fit her and she carried it SOOOOOO well. Can't really say the same for her DA outfit, she looked so burned out in that segment.

Malaysia. I pulled up all nighter last year from 3-9am. But this year, I'm doing it at 1am. But I'm sensing a fever coming if I don't take care of myself, so might as well call it a night if the photos aren't coming out.
