Sorry but that's pure BS. If you don't like TS that's cool, but she is actually very talented and a great pop artist. Be real here, what talent does Candice have? Swift has built her career entirely on her own (with family's help) and is a multimillionaire. Everyone here knows I'm a fan of Candy, but let's be real. There is no need to knock down others in order to bring up Candice.

From fans' perspective yes but from magazine's perspective it's free advertising. It increases traffic of their website and spreads news about the magazine. They already know who their #1 is even before the voting starts but use voting to raise media/social network hype.

You assumed that that voting means anything. They chose TS a while ago. Maxim is trying to rebrand, TS popularity is at all time high so they went with her.
