I think Merkel was actually referecing to the hypothetical EU military selfdefense. Let's face it, Merkel will need France for that lol For exemple, if Merkel wants to continue to enjoy of the French nuclear umbrella, she should allow us to take some freedom on our budget. I'm thinking about the 2% of deficit.
