SRK excited about 'My Name is Khan' SRK excited about 'My Name is Khan'One of Karan Johar’s most awaited films My Name is Khan starring Shah Rukh Khan is set to go on the floors in a few months from now. But even before the first scene is shot we have some news for you. The industry is abuzz with rumours that Shah Rukh will get the negative rights of My Name Is Khan. Our well-placed source from the film industry says, “Karan has offered Shah Rukh 50 per cent stakes in the profits of the film, and in return, Shah Rukh will work on the film without charging a single penny.” Karan made this offer to Shah Rukh a few days ago. “Shah Rukh Khan loved Karan’s idea. SRK is very excited about My Name Is Khan’s story,” our source further says. In the film, Shah Rukh plays an activist who gets kidnapped by terrorists and how his attitude and entire perspective towards life changes subsequently. According to the source, My Name Is Khan will have nothing that the audience has come to expect from Karan’s films as it is a serious film. Our source adds, “Since Shah Rukh will not charge his fee, the budget of My Name Is Khan is unlikely to exceed Rs 15 crore. Going by the track record of Shah Rukh’s last blockbuster Om Shanti Om which was reportedly sold for close to Rs 80 crore, My Name Is Khan also is estimated to go for around that much money. A Karan-Shah Rukh project in today’s times will definitely command and receive that amount. Thus, the film stands to gain a minimum of Rs 60 crore as table profit. Add to this the box-office collections.” The earlier plan was that Shah Rukh will work on My Name is Khan as soon as he is free from the Indian Premeir League matches (he owns the Kolkata Knight Riders team) and Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hain?, which he is currently hosting. But when Aditya Chopra requested Karan to allow Shah Rukh to start his film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi first; Karan immediately obliged. The hunt for the female lead of My Name Is Khan is still on. The role was offered to Kajol who turned it down for reasons best known to her. The film is expected to be shot entirely in Los Angeles and New York. Karan Johar refused to answer our repeated calls and text messages.

When SRK met The Great Khali Shah Rukh Khan has invited WWE Champion, The Great Khali, for dinner at Mannat as his kids Aryan and Suhana are huge fans of the wrestler. King Khan has even organised a private jet to fly Khali to Kolkata to join the Knight Riders for their match on May 18. So, does SRK fulfill every wish of son Aryan and daughter Suhana? Well, it looks like he certainly made this wish of theirs come true. Not only did he personally invite Khali for lunch at home, but he even wants to share his latest passion, Cricket and the IPL, with him. Says a well-placed source close to Khali, “SRK has invited Khali for lunch with his family at Mannat. His kids are big fans of the wrestler.” Khali will be shooting a crucial action sequence of the film Rama - The Saviour before flying off to Kolkata. A source from the production unit of the film says “We had agreed to part ways with Khali but given his importance in our story, we had a mutual settlement. Sahil Khan and Tanushree Dutta also insisted on a new deal with the wrestler, keeping in mind Khali's popularity with the masses.”

Massimo Oddo
Milan Offer Oddo To Barca & Bayern According to the Corriere dello Sport, AC Milan are attempting to sell Massimo Oddo, and have offered his services to both Barcelona and Bayern Munich. Oddo has had an inconsistent season for the Rossoneri. He started the campaign very poorly, which led to him losing his place in the Italy national team starting XI. However his form picked up after Christmas, before he recently picked up an injury that has complicated his end to the season. During this time out, Daniele Bonera has filled in at right back, and the 26-year-old has been hugely impressive in recent weeks, particularly in last weekend’s Milan derby. Such has been his form that the Rossoneri are considering allowing Oddo to leave at the end of the season. The Corriere says that Milan transfer advisor Ernesto Bronzetti met with the Barcelona triumvirate of Joan Laporta, Txiki Beguiristain and Ferran Soriano to talk about the summer transfer of Gianluca Zambrotta. Bronzetti offered Barca Oddo as part of an exchange deal, but the proposal did not go down to well, with the Blaugrana unwilling to take a player who will turn 32 next month. Milan have also proposed Oddo to Bayern Munich during negotiations over Willy Sagnol. This deal is said to be more possible, as it is sponsored by Bayern hitman Luca Toni.

Gennaro Ivan Gattuso
Bayern Offer Gattuso Huge Contract According to reports in Italy, Bayern Munich have drawn up a huge contract offer for Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso. The 30-year-old’s future at Milan is uncertain following an under-par season at the club. The Italian press has been speculating for a few weeks now that Gattuso could depart for foreign shores in the summer, and at the moment new German champions Bayern Munich are considered as the favourites to snap him up. Yesterday Bayern president and legend Franz Beckenbauer declared that the club were desperate to buy Gattuso. "We like Gattuso a lot,” stated ‘der Kaiser’. “He would be the ideal reinforcement for next year: he is the man for the Champions League." It has now been reported that Bayern are ready to offer Gattuso a stunning four-year contract worth a whopping €6m-a-season. Gattuso currently earns €4.5m on his Milan deal which runs until 2011. Meanwhile Luca Toni is said to be desperate to see Gattuso link up with him in Bavaria next term, as Bayern look to construct a squad capable of challenging for the Champions League. The club have not won Europe's premier club competition since 2001.

Alberto Gilardino
Gamberini Backs Gilardino Move Alberto Gilardino could be on his way to Fiorentina after Alessandro Gamberini backs a possible transfer for the under-fire Milan striker. Gilardino has been poor all season, having just scored nine goals in Serie A this term. His lack of first team appearances have played a big part in this and it’s looking likely that he will be on his way out of San Siro. The former Parma man has been linked with several clubs and recently there has been talk that he may move to Fiorentina where a possible swap for Frey and Gilardino may take place. “He (Gilardino) is an excellent striker and then he knows Prandelli from the past, and I am sure he would be a welcome addition to this group,” Gamberini told Tuttosport. The Viola have excellent front men in Pazzini and Mutu but there have been rumours that Pazzini may move to a bigger club and thus he would leave a place for Gilardino. Fiorentina still have a chance for Champions League football and they would need to bolster their squad if they are to challenge in Europe next season.

Alberto Gilardino
Juve To Hand Amauri To Milan For Gilardino Reports are strengthening in Italy that Juventus are set to scrap their deal to buy Amauri, handing the reigns to Milan in return for signing Alberto Gilardino instead. Amauri had appeared almost certain to sign for the Bianconeri, and Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini earlier this week stated that a deal was “98 per cent completed”, with the finishing touches being applied next week. However yesterday evening Amauri delivered a sensational announcement, saying that he may not join Juve any longer. “It’s not certain I am leaving this season. At the end of the campaign I will talk to Zamparini and he’ll set out his plans,” said the Brazilian. The Gazzetta dello Sport now says that the major snag in Amauri’s move has come about due to wages. The 27-year-old is demanding €3.75m a season, but Alessio Secco and the Juventus management are refusing to pay him more than €3m, and have made it clear they will not be changing their mind. As a result it is now looking possible that Milan, who are more than happy to cough up the extra €750k, will be allowed by Juve to step in and sign Amauri instead. In return Milan will sell the Old Lady forward flop Gilardino, who was certain to leave the club at the end of the season anyway. Gila has had a miserable three seasons at San Siro since joining from Parma in 2005, however a question mark remains over how much the Rossoneri will demand for a player they paid €24m for.

Alexandre Pato
Pato Reflects On Debut Season Milan striker Alexandre Pato has reflected upon his debut season for the Rossoneri. The young Brazilian striking sensation has been a revelation at San Siro. Scoring on his debut against Napoli, he has gone on to score eight goals in 16 appearances for the club and he has analysed his first few months as a Milanista. “I am growing up in Italian football after months of just training and watching the game from the stands,” Pato Italia Uno. “Now I think about things differently compared to September, I saw a really difficult and competitive league but now I know that I can play well in it. “The defenders are very intelligent in Serie A and I have to learn how they play in order to do well against them. “I am always happy and ready to play, I just have to be patient. “As for Pippo Inzghi, he’s a great player and he is in great form at the moment. He has to take Milan to the Champions League. “Ronaldo? He’s always my idol, he is a good man and he has to return for us.” Milan are on course for the Champions League this season but they need to ensure victory against Napoli and hope that Fiorentina slip up against Parma.

Pato Reveals Olympic Dream Milan wonderkid Alexandre Pato has spoken of his dream to win a Gold medal with Brazil at this summer’s Olympics in Beijing. The 18-year-old has burst onto the European scene since making his debut for Milan in January of this year. This August, Pato could be at the centre of a tug-of-war between the Rossoneri and the Brazil Olympic football team. The forward is likely to be selected for the games in China, however Milan will face their Champions League qualifying round at the same time, providing they qualify. “It would be a shame to miss the first Champions League games because I would have liked to give my contribution in both competitions,” Pato told the Corriere dello Sport. “I don’t know yet whether I will be selected for Beijing, but naturally I hope so. “Brazil have never won a gold medal in football and to get one would mean entering the history books.” Another Milan star who has previously expressed his wish to play at the Olympics is Kaka, however it is unlikely he will be permitted to play, as Pato admits. “All I can say is that if things go well then it would be great to see him in the dressing room,” he concluded.

Kaká
Kaka: I'd Sign Messi Immediately AC Milan superstar Kaka has admitted that his dream signing would be Barcelona striker Lionel Messi and not his Brazilian team-mate Ronaldinho. Messi Without A Doubt In a transfer saga that has spanned a number of months, Ronaldinho has been linked with clubs across Europe – although the favourites throughout have remained Milan. At one stage it was reported that personal terms had been agreed, but there was no agreement between the two clubs on a transfer fee and AC’s interest subsequently cooled. Milan, of course, already have a Brazilian playmaker star in their ranks in Kaka, who stated that he would love to play with Lionel Messi and not Ronaldinho if he was given a choice of signing any player playing in the world today. “If Adriano Galliani ever gave me the reins of the transfer market, I would sign Messi,” revealed Kaka on Sky Italia. "At this moment in time he is a player I like to watch. He can make the difference in an incredible way. If I could sign any player, yes, it would be Messi.” However, would a flamboyant attacking player, similar in many ways to Kaka, be able to play in the same team? “Can we play together? Of course," responded the reigning World Player of the Year. "I can play with Messi, with Ronaldinho, with Alexandre Pato and with Pippo Inzaghi. It is just an issue of adapting to each other.” Respect for Ronaldo Kaka, who has been capped 59 times by Brazil already in his career, also confirmed that he held a deep respect for his international colleagues Ronaldinho and Ronaldo, the latter having been in the news for all the wrong reasons recently. “I try to stay close to him as much as possible in every situation. I respect him a great deal and he is a very good person. Those who know him are aware of his values,” he continued. “I tried calling him, but we know Ronie is a bit out of the loop at the moment. I respect him for what he has been through and this is a difficult time. “Everybody can make a mistake. I do not judge him for what he did and that error, which he has taken full responsibility for.” Kaka starred in last weekend’s victory over Inter in the Milan derby, giving his side the advantage over Fiorentina in the race for the fourth Champions League spot.

Wesley Sneijder
Sneijder Stops Madrid Signing His Brother Wesley Sneijder has revealed that he has stopped Real Madrid from trying to prise his younger brother away from Ajax and said that he was not a fan of clubs signing youth team players. The 23-year-old Dutch international moved quickly after discovering that scouts for his current club had sent back very favourable reports about his sibling, Rodney. Before Madrid could make an official approach, Wesley asked them to stop and told his brother that he shoujld stay where he is and first break into the Ajax side. "Real Madrid wanted him and Rodney was very happy about that. But when I heard, I stopped the discussions. I am not in favour of juniors increasingly going to top clubs," Sneijder senior explained. "I've told him that he first must make a break through at Ajax." Journalists in Holland have given Rodney the odd nickname of the Patient Pitbull and great things are expected of him, but for Wesley that will first come in Amsterdam with Ajax and not in Madrid.

Gabriel Heinze
Heinze: We Deserve The Credit Real Madrid defender Gabriel Heinze insisted the team must take credit for their incredible 4-1 win over Barcelona in el Clasico, instead of chalking it up to a bad performance from the Blaugrana... The biggest club game of the season in Spain and arguably Europe, and poised so delicately toward the end of the season, many expected this game to decide the title. As it turned out, Madrid wrapped the title up last week in Pamplona against Osasuna, with a dramatic turnaround in which they scored two goals in the final five minutes, having gone behind to a late penalty. Today's game, then, was the showpiece. They were allowed to play without too much pressure, while Barcelona also only had pride to play for, their poor season came to a head, as stage fright saw them 2-0 down at the Santiago Bernabeu this evening wth less than 20 minutes gone. Real dominated - it was their performance of the season, without question - and added a third when super-sub Gonzalo Higuain scored his from the bench for the fourth game running, and Ruud van Nistelrooy, returning from injury, added a fourth from the penalty spot with his first touch of the game. Game Faces Thierry Henry scored a sweetly taken consolation goal, but that will be a mere footnote in the history books, as Gabriel Heinze dedicated the win to the Real Madrid fans, and opined that Barcelona's particularly poor start to the game may have been the result of nerves. “You get nervous during a match. That's just football for you," he shrugged. "Sometimes one team is worse than the other and vice versa. That's just how it goes. Now it's time to have fun. "Tonight's match was for our fans. We wanted to win and we would have guaranteed this score even before kick-off. We came out like we're supposed to in every match. We brought our game faces.” The Argentine insisted, though, that it was not a matter of Barcelona being weak, and that los Merengues were just too good on the day, and deserve the credit for the victory. “We cannot say Barcelona was a weak team today. Real Madrid deserves the credit," he insisted. “We ran the risk of coming out relaxed, but we were focused. Scoring first was crucial. It was the key to the match. "When things go well we don't feel fatigue. It would have been different had they scored first, but when there's an atmosphere like tonight's surrounding this team, we don't feel tired at all." Perfect Pepe, Heinze's partner in central defence this evening, told the club's official website of his joy following his debut season with the club. He added that despite being champions and emerging victorious from el Clasico, Madrid would not be letting up, and would go to Zaragoza this weekend just as motivated to pick up another victory. “Not only Higuaín performed well, but the team as a whole was perfect, he declared. "We have to have a lot of respect for this shirt and that's what we did tonight because we are professionals. “We have to play our game in Zaragoza because we want to continue this great run and close out the season in fine form. “It's been a great season, but I still have a lot to learn. I push myself harder every day and hope to help the team in any way I can. I am very happy to be here and to have been able to play this match the way in which did.”

Sergio Ramos
Calderón: Sergio Ramos Is Staying Ramón Calderón has insisted that Sergio Ramos is staying at Real Madrid and questioned why any player would want to leave the Bernabéu to go to Chelsea. Los Merengues' president moved quickly to dismiss reports that his club could be tempted by rumours that the Blues were ready to make a mega bid for the highly-rated defender. "There is no reason to worry. His future is with Real Madrid. Sergio Ramos is one of the pillars of our project here and he has his entire career at the club ahead of him," Caldéron told Onda Madrid radio station. "He would only leave if he wanted to, but I have seen nothing to suggest that he does. He is very happy with us. When you are playing for Real Madrid, why would you want to go to another club?" Looking ahead to the summer, the Madrid supremo assured that there would not be major changes and the only additions that would be made would be true professionals that would add something extra. "This squad will not be damaged. a few drops of quality here and there need to be added, but we will not break up what we already have. We want to make the fans even more excited than they already are," he continued. "We have obtained a strong unity and do not want to spoil that. There will be few new faces, but those that there are will be good and will be seen by everyone to be adding quality and competition. "Their behaviour, attitude and family life are key elements. A person that is no t orderly off the pitch will not be considered." Having clinched back-to-back league titles, Calderón has now told coach Bernd Schuster that he must reach the latter stages of the Champions League next season. "That is the next plan and we must reach the semi finals at least," he continued, before reflecting on the German's first year in charge after replacing Fabio Capello last summer. "There are always ups and downs, but we have won at some important grounds, like San Mamés, El Calderón, Camp Nou and Mestalla, as well as Villarreal, and that was not by luck," he stated. "It was difficult for him because he inherited a team that had just won the league and winning it again was his obligation."

Guti
Guti: Barça Were Gentlemen Real Madrid midfielder Guti has praised Barcelona's attitude on and off the field, but insists nothing could have prepared him for what transpired during Wednesday's Clasico clash... Los Merengues produced an amazing display at the Santiago Bernabéu to claim a resounding 4-1 victory over their archrivals last night. Guti said after the game that the result was "surprising", and insisted he would not have believed it even if someone had told him the outcome beforehand. The 31-year-old praised Barca for paying court to the newly crowned league champions, and said: "They were real gentlemen, not only the players, but also Rijkaard. "We did the same in their situation, we should not give this more importance but it was a very big emotion." Complicated The result further confirms Barca's current crisis, something Guti himself confessed to have experienced at Madrid. "We went through the same some years ago and it is complicated, handling it on the field with these players when you have lost all the options in the league and you were just eliminated from the Champions League," he said. "But they have to move forward and forget this season as soon as possible." Special Guti made way for Robinho on 71 minutes, and was rewarded with a standing ovation from the club's supporters - a reception which thrilled the Spaniard. "Having your family and several friends watching you, the title and the result... It was very special," he confessed. Guti was also keen to acknowledge that the commitment of players like Casillas or Raúl, in tandem with the desire displayed by the younger brigade, were key in Madrid's successful title defence.

Iker Casillas
Casillas: Team More Important Than Zamora Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas declared his side's team performance against Barcelona more important than the fact that it took him closer to the Zamora trophy... The Zamora award, given annually to the best goalkeeper in the Spanish Primera División, seems to be heading for the Bernabéu as Valdés continues to impress. Statistically he is on top, and dsepite conceding late on to a Thierry Henry strike, he is in with a great chance of winning the title for the first time. However, in an interview with Marca he downplayed the importance of the prize. "The team is above this award," he said. "Together we have to have the attitude not to concede, and the team thus affects the goalkeeper, but overall it is down to the work of the whole squad." Nonetheless, he allowed himself a bit of speculation as to his chances after tonight's win. "This evening was the most important match because Valdés was the closest one to me," he said. Corridor Of Power Madrid were welcomed onto the pitch by Barcelona's pasillo, or corridor, which is the guard of honour given to the champions the week after they seal the trophy. While many in the crowd no doubt drew satisfaction from watching Madrid's eternal rivals applaud them onto the pitch, Casillas would not gloat over the incident. "We didn't milk the pasillo: we didn't want to create morbo from it. We appreciated the respect from our fellows. It is appreciated as a gesture to a deserving champion. "Barcelona's current form? I'm disappointed for Barcelona because it's a very tough situation for them that makes it difficult to play."

KAKA MAY SKIP OLYMPICS.... The Brazilian soccer confederation admit brazil may not be able to rely on Kaka' to be available for the beijing olympics. "it is going to be very difficult,'' CBF President Ricardo Teixeira told TV Bainderantes late Sunday. " We are not in the position to demand his release." The AC Milan player has been saying he wants to help Brazil try to win their first Olympic gold in soccer, but he would need to be released by his Italian club. Depending on Milan's finish in the Italian league, they may need to to play in next year's European Champions League qualifying round which has conflicting dates with the Olympics. Milan are currently fourth in the stamndings, and the top four will qualify.. Even if released by Milan, 26-year-old Kaka must be summoned by Brazil coach Dunga as one of the three players over 23 years old allowed to supplement each squad. He was young enough to play in the 2004 Olympics in Athens, but Brazil failed to qualify. Kaka was also not released by Milan to play in South America's qualifying event for the 2004 Olmpics. He will be 30 years old for the 2012 London Olympics.- Clarence Seedorf
HOLLAND, EURO 2008: SEEDORF'S THERE MILAN - Dutch national coach Marco Van Basten has made up a list of 30 players who are eligible for Euro 2008. The list will have to be reduced to 23 players before 28 May. Clarence Seedorf is one of the ten midfielders on this list. Holland has been drawn in a group alongside Italy, France, and Romania. - Kaká
