Shah Rukh follows Dustin Hoffman footsteps For those who think that Shah Rukh Khan cannot play anything beyond stereotypical characters, think again. Shah Rukh's close buddy Karan Johar has challenged Shah Rukh's acting abilities by asking him to play an autistic in his next, My Name is Khan. No doubt SRK will take inspiration from Dustin Hoffman who played an autistic in Rain Man (1988). Rain Man is a 1988 film by Barry Levinson, which tells the story of an abrasive, selfish yuppie, Charlie Babbitt, who discovers that his father has left all of his multimillion-dollar estate to his brother, Raymond, a savant, whom he never knew existed. Shah Rukh did not take long to say 'yes' to Karan. Our well-placed source in Bollywood says, "SRK can't wait for the film to begin. He is very excited about playing this different character." An autistic is a person who suffers from pervasive developmental disorder, which starts off in childhood, it is characterised by impaired communication, excessive rigidity, and emotional detachment. Karan had allowed Aditya Chopra to start Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi first, so SRK will first free himself from Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (opposite the 19-year old Bangalorean newcomer Anushka Sharma) and then get on to this challenging role," our source adds. Ammi, Ira and Junaid are by my side and we are in the middle of one of our favourite board games 'Settlers Of Catan'. Shahrukh is licking my feet and I am feeding him biscuits every now and then. What more can I ask for? Now, before you jump to any conclusions let me add that Shahrukh is the name of our dog. And before you jump to any further conclusions let me add that I had nothing to do with naming him. In fact Shah Rukh is the dog of the caretakers of our house. When I bought this house it came with the caretakers and their dog! Apparently Shahrukh (the actor) was shooting for a commercial in this house a few years ago, and that very day the caretakers bought a pup…, and named him Shahrukh. What are the chances of me buying a house which comes with a dog called Shahrukh!!! Some of my friends claim that I bought the house just because of the dog. I would have to be a serious fan of Shahrukh's to want to do that. Your guess… All I can say is I'm waiting for him to come over." Ronaldo: I Don’t Normally Visit Prostitutes Crocked Milan striker Ronaldo has given a full account of what really happened during his recent altercation with three Brazilian prostitutes. naldo hit the headlines a few weeks ago when it was reported that he had had an encounter with three transvestites in a motel in Rio de Janeiro. A lot has been reported in the press since, and Ronaldo has now moved to clear up, in detail, exactly what happened. “What happened with the transvestites was the worst thing that has ever happened to me,” he told Spanish newspaper AS. “It was my mistake and I think about it every day. It caused me a lot of personal pain, but it hasn’t changed my desire to play again. “The true story is that I went to dinner with some friends. A girl came up to my car and I accepted her services. “We went to a motel and she called some friends. When they arrived I realised that they weren’t women, but men, transvestites. And then I told them that I had changed my mind. “I didn’t want to go any further because they weren’t women and they demanded £24,000 or else they would go to the Press. “But they asked me for more money. I started to negotiate with them because I didn’t want any trouble. “So they went to the police station and made up lies about me to profit from the situation because I am famous. “I don’t normally go to prostitutes and I want people to know that. I have always had a girlfriend and I don’t need that kind of service. “I am heterosexual. I have no problem with homosexuals, but I like women. I have never taken drugs - I am a sportsman. “My girlfriend didn’t take it well. She was very angry with me and we argued, but afterwards she gave her support. “It has been a tough thing for me and also for her. I think that she is also pregnant, but we will wait for the first few months to see if everything goes well. “I understand that some people may have lost a little respect for me, but I have done a lot for football, for sport and for my country. “We all make mistakes and I have learned a lot from this experience. I did something stupid and I regret it more each day, but when I return to the pitch and score again everyone will forget it,” he concluded. Ronaldo is currently recovering from a severed tendon in his knee, and latest reports suggest he could be back in action as early as September.
