Pato: We Must Beat Atalanta Teenage sensation Alexandre Pato says that Milan simply must beat Atalanta this weekend if they are to finish in the top four at the end of the season. The Rossoneri currently face a real struggle to qualify for next season’s Champions League as they trail fourth-placed Fiorentina by four points. “It’s time to think about Milan again and the objective is obviously to finish in fourth and get into the Champions League,” Pato explained. “It’s crucial to beat Atalanta and claw back Fiorentina.” Pato will be hoping to crown a wonderful past seven days with another excellent performance at San Siro. Last weekend he scored the only goal of the game as Milan won 1-0 at Torino. Then in midweek he marked his debut for the Brazil national team by also getting on the scoresheet in another 1-0 win over Sweden. The Brazilian media broke out the superlatives following Pato's dream bow, comparing him to former Brazilian greats Pele, Zico and Rivelino.

Higuaín Unaffected By Talk Of New Strikers Gonzalo Higuaín does not feel under any extra pressure as rumours continue to grow about Real Madrid's quest to bring in a new striker during the summer. The Argentinian forward is looking to impress with a regular run in the team in Ruud van Nistelrooy's absence and hopes he can do enough to stay at the club during the summer. "It is a decision for the board. I always work hard so that they keep me in mind, that is my mission," he explained. With Didier Drogba, Luis Fabiano and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar all being linked to Madrid, Higuaín recognised that any one of them would be a welcome addition. "We know about the quality of all three. They are playing very well for their teams and we have to hope that the board chosses the best one if they decide to make a signing. All of them are great players," he said. "Now I have the chance now and I will try to do everything I can to take advantage of it as this will be a great game to play in and I want to help the team. "I do not yet know if I am going to start, but I am training as if that was the case. The responsibility is great and if I am given it then I will bear it well as every player would want it. "I do not know if I feel pressure as the only thing I know if that any player that os asked to be the main striker for Madrid should feel very proud. "I prefer to play just behind the main striker, but we will have to see what decision the coach takes. All I can do is train hard and hope that Schuster has faith in me."

MAGIC OF THE DEBUT The day after his splendid goal on his debut with the Brazilian national, Alexandre Pato talked about his sensations and his happiness. - THE WORDS OF ALEXANDRE PATO - MILANELLO - Here are the declarations made by Alexandre Pato to Milan Channel's microphones at the end of today's training session: "I'm very happy I managed to make my first appearence with the national team, after I couldn't make it the last time due to my injury. On the move that led to the goal, I saw the ball behind me and I noticed the goalkeeper had come out, I fired a shot and fortunately it went in. I'm happy about this goal which came on my debut and the comparison with Pelé who scored in the 1958 World Cup final against Sweden makes me happy. For me he is an idol, a phenomenon. At the moment my career is doing well and I have to work a lot to keep my place in the Brazilian national team. I'm very happy about the compliments I've gotten from many people who have shown me their affection. As soon as the game finished yesterday I went into the dressing room and I immediately called my parents who were very happy for me. Coming back to play at the Emirates stadium where we played against Arsenal made me a bit sad as it reminded me of the elimination in the Champions League, but it was nice to win with my national team in the stadium. Now in the league we have to reach the fourth place in order to play in the Champions League again next year."

PATO: BRAZIL THANK MILAN - Today in Brazil there is only one topic, Pato, after his goal with the Brazilian national team against Sweden. 'The debut of a star', was the title of the daily O Globo, while l'Estado di San Paulo talked about 'a great goal that ensured Brazil's victory.' "My parents called me after the game and they were in tears - said Pato - I was emotional as well, I thank them for everything I'm achieving in my life, for the way they've been close to me and how they've educated me."

Will Shilpa Shetty marry boyfriend Raj Kundra? Well, it's now Shilpa Shetty's turn. The echoes of ringing temple bells have culminated into a possible wedding bell rumour for the duo. Apparently, Raj Kundra joined Shilpa, Shamita and mom Sunanda Shetty on a visit to Shirdi. However, marriage, they maintain is still not on the cards. And the yet-very-much-single Shilpa is flabbergasted by the 'misreporting', her publicist tells us. Not very long ago, the media got Rani Mukerji married off to Aditya Chopra, speculating a big fat Indian wedding in the city of Jodhpur. Bipasha's engagement to John was also another serious conjecture. The diamond ring on Sushmita Sen's finger began assumptions of her having been proposed to by then-boyfriend Sanjay Narang, and more recently the Kareena Kapoor - Saif Ali Khan secret nikaah was just the minds of many working overtime! But then Ash and Abhi did eventually tie the knot. Wonder what Sai Baba has planned for the Shilpa-Raj jodi.

Amitabh, Shah Rukh go Nuts! If there are any differences, the two actors chose to keep it all behind them as they began to shoot for Ravi Chopra's Bhoothnath directed by Vivek Sharma. The ambience on the sets was quite cordial and friendly, we hear! Apparently, there used to be a plate of peanuts doing the rounds on the sets, and Amitabh and Shah Rukh were quite addicted to these moongfalis, and always requested the man who took the plate around to hover around them. "But Amitji and Shah Rukh always used to crib about how fattening peanuts are, but without fail used to empty plates and plates of peanuts," laughs director Sharma. So, never mind their cold war, we'll at least find the two actors bonding over a plate of nuts once in a while. Or do they fight over it?

Arjun was in LA with Paris! Actor Arjun Rampal was in Los Angeles sometime ago. And you’d be surprised to know what he did there. Well, we hear that he hobnobbed with some of the who’s who in the city. For example, Arjun attended the Ed Hardy bash and was also the guest of honour along with none other than – hold your breath, guys – Paris Hilton! It does look like the film Om Shanti Om has done much for our man Arjun. And he, on his part, surely seems to be enjoying his new-found stardom!

Arjun Rampal caught with pretty girls! Over the weekend, we bumped into a dashing Arjun Rampal at a suburban happening night spot. Must say, the ‘hunk’ has turned over a new leaf having lost oodles of weight and he’s looking dapper. His entry made quite a few heads swivel around, he was there to greet and wish the lovely Femina Miss India contestants and all the girls had a ball of a time shaking a leg to the popular beats of Om Shanti Om. As for Arjun, he for sure enjoyed the attention from the PYTs... Pretty Young Things, who won’t?

Coulthard's Red Bull sold for 210,000 Euros 27 March 2008 David Coulthard's Red Bull Racing car from last year's British Grand Prix was sold on eBay for 210,000 Euros for an auction in aid of the Wings for Life charity, a foundation which funds research into spine injuries. The Red Bull car had the unique 'faces for charity' livery which the team ran during the British Grand Prix last year. Over 50,000 people donated money to charity in order to have their photos painted on the car. The auction winner has chosen to remain anonymous.
