Acfr, french swiss people don't have a french accent ! But a french-swiss accent, which is extremly different (like scotish from english for instance). Some words even are different... OK ok, Natalia's fans don't care Of course not. But we're talking movies, right? What I meant was, because the movie was shot in English, if she speaks English with a mild French accent, nobody is splitting hairs, if it's French or Swiss French. (Ok, all right, maybe the French and the Swiss will.) But Pautinka is right, if the movie had been shot in French, it'd be a whole new ball game. ETA: You're right, it's true, my mistake!, JRM is not English. He's a Scot. The whole thing is even more mind bending. It's like a Babel Inception. Hahahaha!- Natalia Vodianova
According to Banana Films, the movie has been shot in English. I don't know how they plan to tackle the accent issue. But, if Natalia can mimick a French accent, she'll probably be fine. In truth, if you come to think, Solal himself is not even French by birth. If I'm not mistaken, he's of Greek origins. So, to my mind, Natalia's Russian accent is as much an issue as Meyers' British accent. Will he speak British English with a somewhat Greek accent so that we can all pretend that he's speaking French with perhaps a Greek accent? This is mind bending.- Natalia Vodianova
Oh, well, sorry, my bad then. I don't know why I got the idea that her account didn't include celebrities. Anyway, I think Natalia's page, not a fanpage dedicated to her, would be a great idea for her to spread the message. I don't see why she couldn't have around 100K fans reading her posts right now. The whole format is weird and she's just wasting a fantastic resource. I don't mind grammar mistakes, Eos, I pretty much got the gist of her message when I first read it, and it was fine by me. In fact, when I posted about her thank-you note, yesterday, I didn't mention any grammar mistake at all. I'm not a language purist, it's just that Sunshine06 inquired about the use of the verb "to learn" and I thought hers was a legitimate question. But, well, if it's strange, I do apologize for that.- Natalia Vodianova

I tend to believe that it's her, but there's one nagging detail: the account format is all wrong. It should be a Facebook page, not a personal account that she made private. When you want to have fans to "like" you, you open a page. If you want to be in touch with your friends, you open an account and make it private. The private configuration protects both you and your exchanges with other people. Instead, she sort of did the middle thing, which is to have fans in a personal account made private. This format doesn't make any sense to me. The Facebook page is open, you like it and become a fan. Natalia would have the opportunity to expand her fan base, talk about her charity work and reach more people. Why did she make an account private if she's posting for perfect strangers in it? I don't get it. If that's Natalia, as I tend to think it is, she's not using her Facebook account in an efficient way. I would understand the private configuration if she were comunicating with her husband, her children, her family, her friends, her celebrity friends... it's not the case, is it? Perhaps she doesn't much know about Facebook and that's the way it is. She made a mistake at first and was never explained the difference. At any rate, Facebook could do what Twitter does - they verify the account and, when it's for real, there's a seal to guarantee that you're following the celebrity. [that's too my humble opinion... ] ETA: It's not standard English, but people sometimes do use 'learn' as 'teach'. You hear that, it's not unheard of, but not right (I don't believe a Language Arts teacher in school would let a student mistake learn for teach). A native speaker would normally say: "29 years of incredible changes in my professional and personal life, 29 years of experiences that taught me that you can't control everything in your life. Nothing endures, everything changes, even love. Thank you all for the lovely birthday wishes." If nothing endures, then everything changes - it doesn't make sense to use the same subject for both verbs the way she meant her message. I personally believe something can endure and change. Love, for instance. It's still love, but it changed - it's perfectly possible to say that. However, I think that what she really means is: nothing endures the way it once was. So, if this is the message, she must change the subject. Nothing endures, everything changes, even love.- Natalia Vodianova
To me, she's basically saying that her marriage is pretty much over, or perhaps very much on the rocks. However, if this is not what she means, I think Natalia shouldn't keep dropping these hints every now and then, because of the whole is-it-on-is-it-off context. After all these rumors, she must be aware of what people will read in between the lines, even mistakingly. But, at any rate, she is right: you can't control everything. Change is what life is about. You change everyday, from the day you were born till the day you die. When you finally get that, you grow up. Beautiful words. I wish Natalia all the best, now and always! I suppose Natalia will stay in LA for Vanity Fair's traditional Oscar party. It makes sense, since she's gone through the trouble to fly all the way from London to LA. I'm always amazed at how she juggles all these social and work engagements. 2010 was a very, very full year for her, I thought she'd spend more time at home with the little ones, now that Belle du Seigneur wrapped up. I hope they're coping well. At any rate... ANV More: here ANV More: here- Natalia Vodianova
