As I said some weeks ago, here comes the third (or fourth) wave of rumors, triggered by Justin's continuous absence which is, quite frankly, very hard to explain by now. I don't think these sources are trustworthy per se, but the persistence of the rumors is troublesome. It's not like reading about the Jolie-Pitt divorce and, the next day, the two of them are together, all smiles, travelling with their kids or attending an event together. I perfectly understand their not confirming the divorce until the time they both consider appropriate, but Natalia downright denied it in December. She said they were closer than ever, and even celebrating their anniversary this year. This is what confuses me the most. Divorce is a fact of life, and can happen to any married couple, for private reasons that are nobody else's business. The way she spoke to the press, in such a candid and firm way, I was convinced we were all suffering from some collective paranoia. If they are really divorcing, why would she openly lie, instead of just saying 'no comment'? For the longest time, I thought she was dropping some hints here and there, so that when the whole thing became public, it wouldn't be so shocking. Natalia gave a surprising interview to the Libération (if I'm not mistaken), and even stopped mentioning Justin altogether for a period. However, by the end of last year, she made me believe that there was nothing wrong with their marriage. She said they had made changes in their living arrangements, which sounded awfully a lot like a separation to me, but ok, Natalia actually seemed puzzled as to why the press was infering divorce from that. As much as I'm naturally inclined to believe in her, as I am, the whole thing reeks divorce. Since late 2009, these two have taken a U turn from their perceived image as a couple. That Justin will skip this or that event, instead of attending them all, as he used to, it's perfectly understandable. But his sudden and complete withdrawl from Natalia's public life is beyond odd. Oh, well. Eventually, we'll all know. Whatever is going on, I just hope she's all right.

Exactly, maryna! My feeling was, Tom Ford resorted to secrecy and celebrities as a smoke screen, because his collection was not that impressive at all. Natalia Vodianova's role in his comeback should have been much greater, since she was the face for his amazing and tremendously successful collection for Gucci. That campaign shot them both to the front row. I was very disappointed when I saw the video, because it fails to recognize that. You're absolutely right, the video was made to highlight Beyonce and the other celebrities who were there to create buzz for him. Tom Ford is a very talented designer. I expected a lot more. ANV Same pic, but larger file (from the site) I don't know about you guys, but I was not very impressed by Tom Ford's SS 2011 collection. I actually had a sort of Miranda Priestley moment when I saw the video, pursing my lips and all. I've seen better Tom Ford collections before ~ this one, to put it mildly, is way bellow his capabilities as a designer. And I thought Natalia would have a bigger role in his comeback, but her appearance was more like a cameo. Major disappointment (thank you, Cavalli & Ford!). <_< Detoo's found

This is a perfet example of yellow press at its worst, lacking any sort of intelligent analysis of the situation. I hardly think that expressions like "black stripe" and "decline" in a career could be applicable to Natalia's current professional situation. And why - only because she did a campaign for Oriflame? Sure, we are on the brink of the end of the decade of Natalia's reign - an E N T I R E decade! Sure she doesn't walk much nowdays and her contracts in beauty industry are not as lucrative any more (there is always a quest for a young fresh face there) but to be an ambassador for multiple large-scale sport events, starring in an adaptation of a best-selling European novel, to me hardly speaks a decline. To add, during her reign Natalia was not exactly runway-walking or shooting beauty campaigns and otherwise backing in St. Barths, but also raised 3 children and founded a hugely successful charity. She always said that to be in the fashion industry is not necessarily the limit of her dreams and I think she is living her dreams with what she does and not suffering from any decline in a professional way. Ditto!

Me too, I was happy to read this piece of news. I was glad to know that she was picked to be Ariane the way she was. I didn't know the story behind the producers' choice. They sought her, so she must have impressed them with her performance. Yeah, I thought that too, that some sort of Angelina Jolie solution could be met for the little ones. She probably reasoned that they'd be better off at home, though, with their father and in their own environment. I remember one interview in which Natalia said that Neva, unlike Lucas, didn't much adapt to the travelling lifestyle. I suppose it must have been one of those miserable no-win scenarios, in which any choice is imperfect and complicated. As she says, you have to deal with a whole new situation. And she can always go home in between shootings. I hope she gets some rest. She looks happy, but overwhelmed. Natalia has always impressed me by her stamina, but even a hard worker like her needs to take it easy from time to time. I think Neva is just like her dad and the boys take after their mother's family. Hope you're all having a great Christmas...!

Yeah, I don't think any of these Russian gossip sites have any scoop at all, it's just innuendo and speculation. The Boltenko factor doesn't convince me either. But it's been interesting to observe the way the tide comes and goes. After October, the rumors rested for a while and then, little by little, they start to re-emerge again. Actually, Natalia and Justin have affirmed that they're not separated on a number of different occasions - it's just that his continuing absence fuels another wave of rumors and we go "is it on or off?" all over again. You're absolutely right, eventually, everything will be known.
