@SympathysSilhouette 3 minute love story. i can't wait to see what the graphics change looks like. Farewell to the white wolf has significant fan fiction (quite appropriate and I accept it as canon) about lambert/keira after the events in W3.

  7. I'm down to the final quarter of Storm of Swords. About halfway through the book the plot really slowed down. The prose remained highly detailed and interesting, but without a lot of narrative movement. This may be what fans complain about. Overall, the first 2 books and the first half of Storm had better pacing in terms of plot and much more urgency. It was overall a better experience. The Bran-Horor-twins arc, post winterfell is the least interesting arc. So little happens, and so slowly. I'm up to the point where they meet Sam. Bran is the least interesting Stark and GRRM has commented that the BRAN POV chapters were the hardest for him to write. And Bran is supposed to end the show on top... Also I am starting to sense that it was not right that GRRM kill off two major characters off. I can understand the death of one supporting character but the other two major characters were highly developed and could have progressed much further into the plot. By eliminating them GRRM also eliminates his (*and readers') investment in them. But maybe I'm wrong and there was a method behind this.
  8. Jason momoa was in baywatch hawaii. Also, Brande Roderick was one of the most gorgeous playmates of that time

The Beric-Hound duel in the show/books is the most Souls-like scene in the show @Enrico_sw
  12. A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin | Goodreads @SympathysSilhouette This one star essay review of Game of thrones- with has 2089 likes is the most piercing criticism of the main flaws of the series. I don't agree with everything he says but I think he hits the nail on the head that Game of Thrones is really about enjoying worldbuilding and characters over plot and progression. I read some of the reviews for Feast and Dance and they say the plot moves even slower! than in Storm of Sword. So GOT may be more like a high quality fantasy soap opera; it is more about enjoying the journey rather than expecting to be blown away from the saga as a whole once it ends, and all the pieces of the puzzle connect together. Perhaps this is why GRRM has writer's block. "If you need some kind of closure, avoid this series. No arcs will ever be completed, nothing will ever really change. The tagline is 'Winter is Coming'--it's not. As the series goes on, there will be more and more characters and diverging plotlines to keep track of, many of them apparently completely unrelated to each other, even as it increasingly becomes just another cliche, fascist 'chosen one' monomyth, like every other fantasy series out there. If you enjoy a grim, excessively long soap opera with lots of deaths and constant unresolved tension, pick up the series--otherwise, maybe check out the show."
