  1. GRRM in the last two appearances looks apprehensive and not like his old self, where in many appearances he was relaxed, funny, and in triumph. This issue of not so critically successful S8 and not finishing Winds of Winter continues to dog him.
  2. The same can be said for Souls/ FROMSOFT^^!
  3. I find her attractive although from what I've seen she looks too 'modern'. I think of more a classical look, like an ancient appearance. Finished Feast for Crows. Dance of Dragons is supposed to be the 4th best novel by fans. I feel asleep during the first 1 1/2 hrs of the book, which is not a good sign..can't help but feel like GRRM can't maintain the same quality as Storm of Swords going forward.
  4. @Enrico_sw FROMSOFT is making Armored Core 6. I hope they also make a souls-like game but it might not happen. I got the feeling that Elden Ring expended almost every possibility, it's that big.

  6. It's something about letting a decrepit age go, and restarting anew. So the player makes this choice to not become Lord and continue the cycle. I agree, and it's also completely mysterious as you don't know what's going to happen next. It's up to the player's imagination. There was an indie Dark Souls 3-inspired game that was similar, but it had "ascension" as the final ending. This is what happens at the end of Divine comedy. Here are some images about the beginning of Dante. It's like the beginning of DS3 :
  7. Great game, and huge. Although not as tightly packed as Bloodborne / DS3. Elden Ring has a well written story, with interesting characters.

  10. I remember this picture. VS Swim.
  11. do you think she fits the role? In comics she is typically drawn not as a Greek or Israeli person but more like a northern european one. But later/more modern comics have her looking more like her origin.
  12. I'm not that hardcore with the ending lore but I think the whole Dark Souls series has some influence by Dante's Divine comedy. The Divine Comedy has Dante's spirit awaken in purgatory. He then travels to Hell, and then paradise while encountering many tortured or lost human creatures. Once he reaches Paradise, the story ends with a 'breaking of the cycle' and enlightenment. Dark Souls 3 even starts in a similar atmosphere. I think this ending is the breaking of the cycle, and 'the embers' mean the likelihood of an eventual rebirth. What do you think of the ending?
  13. I heard none of the Wonder woman films were very good anyway. I have a copy of WW1 and haven't been interested enough to watch it yet.
