I recall in the mid-2000s there was news in film magazines that the practical effects industry was rapidly deteriorating / closing shop. So we don't see amazing real life set pieces much anymore.

This movie comes just in time as the US gov't is starting to admit to the public that they are losing the war in Ukraine..

TBH Anya's appearance is always a bit weird to me. She looks like a high fashion model all the time which doesn't suit most of the roles she is in. Charlize Theron is a very good actress and has a strong 'queen bee'/ alpha female vibe. I like her in Fury Road. Fury road in the theaters was one of the best viewing experiences I've ever had. It had very convincing action that CG disbelief barely registered to me. Overall action films have massively declined in quality due to streaming & woke so I no longer have much interest in them.

I think Nolan did Westworld before this? S1 of Westworld was great but it quickly got messed up. I hope the full trailer shows more content than we see here.

Yeah it should not take itself too seriously. There's a bunch of young actors in the trailer that don't really give much confidence. The Boys works partially due to the good actors. I just hope it won't turn out to be as bad as Rings of Power

I like her eyes and nose. I think with Emily Feld she has gained weight and her face looks more bloated, along with her body. She looks better when she's thinner.
