Casino Royale (2006)
That may or may not be true, but unlike Pierce Brosnan, he can, you know - act.

The Da Vinci Code
With the reviews this is getting... Well, if it makes money, he might make another. Ron Howard isn't known for doing sequels (or in this case, prequels)

The Da Vinci Code
Which goes back to my original point from my review; The DaVinci Code wouldn't make a good movie because it's all exposition and people standing around explaining stuff. You can't get rid of the exposition because that's all the book really is. Angels and Demons doesn't have as much of that, and would transition more effectively to the movie format - even if the overall story is weaker. The best novel adaptation coming to theaters this year is Casino Royale. Book it

The Da Vinci Code
Yes, but in book form it doesn't bother me. Pacing in a film, especially a thriller, is very important. I love history. But there's a difference between being in a history class with a good teacher and being in one with a bad teacher. Same goes for movies, there are good historical fiction movies and bad ones - and this one, a thriller, is paced like a drama - but too silly to be dramatic. /heck, I took the AP History tests without the classes //i liked the parts where they used CGI to blend in the history... I just didnt like watching a movie that was basically the characters standing around reading from the book

The Da Vinci Code
The best movies to compare the Da Vinci Code to are the Tom Clancy movies, believe it or not. Replace the military/intelligence theme with a symbology/religious theme and the rest is basically the same. Except the Clancy movies have better villains. My problem with the movie (which isn't as much of a big deal in book form) is that 95% of the time its just a bunch of guys standing around talking. It's all exposition, all the time.

It was a minor seizure, she was released and even attended an event later in the day.

The Da Vinci Code
Da Vinci Code Film: 6/10. The acting was better, except for the usually brilliant Hanks who was miscast, than I expected. But the pacing was exactly as I predicted. I read "Angels & Demons" first, and while I felt that story was weaker, it read like a movie. "The Da Vinci Code" carries on too long and has lots of downtime for a movie thriller. Big props to Paul Bettany as Silas and Ian McKellan as Sir Leigh Teabing. Jean Reno was good in his limited screentime, Audrey Tautou was pretty and adaquete as Sophie Neveu, but there isn't much to that character. For such a long movie, the only memorable scene takes place at the end of the movie...beginning with the razor accident. However, I loved the CGI sequences that blended history with the movie events. Basically, due to the source material being ill-suited to the movie format, the best this movie was going to be was a 7/10. Casting Tom Hanks, a great actor, seemed to have been a mistake, as he didn't show the passion of the novel's Robert Langdon and simply looked out of place in the movie.

Here's some Jennifer Connelly awesomeness from Mulholland Falls (nudity) http://rapidshare.de/files/20564076/jconne...12edit.avi.html- Jennifer Connelly
Meh, if she wasn't so mind-numblingly hot in her early 20s then I might agree with you. She's still good looking, but nowhere near Mulholland Falls/Inventing the Abbots hotness.- Jessica Alba

It's a thread about actresses, a profession, not acting, a skill. Maybe if it was, "Best Actress/Beauty Combination" then we'd have to resort things. Note that I still wouldn't put Scarlett or Natalie anywhere near the top.- Most Beautiful Actresses, 25 and under
Putting anyone below Jessica Alba is just silly. Scarlett is all boobs and overrated acting ability. Sure, Alba can't act at all but she is still much, much hotter.- Eyebrows.
