Man, I really hope Esti Ginzburg is in the 2012 issue Shes one of the few bright stars of SI to me. I like her more than Brooklyn and Kate for sure. Im happy about Nina though...I hope that rumor is true!! I love Kate Upton but I just get this feeling sometimes that MJ Day pimps her out to promote the issue. I know Kates a very sexy girl but SI promotes her like a sex doll sometimes. Its weird.

Actually I know what you mean. I used to, for some time, think she was a bit snobby but after watching a few videos I figured out why I was probably coming to that conclusion. Candice is a bit bashful. She is self-conscious because with her job its inevitable. As a model you have to be aware of your body, of every bone, every expression to get the shot they way it needs to be. So that mixed in with her apparently already shy nature creates a bashful personality. But I feel this was her before like 2010 and back. I also sense that she has come to terms with her fame and is mature now. You make a good point. Her rise in fame just rocketed almost over night (well it certainly felt that way ) I guess it's only natural for her to be swept up in it all. So it was always going to take her while to find herself again in her new surroundings as it were. It reminds me of tennis players. Usually when they taste major sucsees for the first time their results and performance levels drop for the next few months as they deal with the pressures of expectation and so on. Guess it was the same for Candy Yeah I always feel bad for Candice when I read remarks about how she seems like a "bitch" or "stuck up". What immaturity to say that! She just seems like she's a naturally shy girl who's more conscious of what she says in front of the camera than say, Adriana or Miranda. People are different. But you can look at her life and tell she's not a fame-seeker or a bitch in any way. To me, she comes across as a very hard working girl with a truly angelic personality. I adore her!

Sometimes I read Val's blog about how clean and vegan she eats and I think that's too hard of a life adjustment. I eat pretty healthy but nowhere near the way she does. But then I see all her pics and wow, just wow.....she hasn't aged at all! Not in her candids or her work. Models are usually pretty good at keeping healthy but compared to most of the VS girls (except Miranda) Val has aged beautifully. Maybe it's worth giving it a shot

I agree! I wish VS would return to the simplicity of the older shows. I think they feel pressure to outdo themselves every year, but it's much better when it's simple lingerie. For example, this year Miranda wore the Fantasy bra inside some kind of seashell wing contraption but in the 2006 show - Karolina wore just the bra, undies and "normal" wings and she looked stunning. As for Candice, I agree the ski bunny outfit was my favourite! But this is a close second

Here are some clips from this year's show. I didnt really like the hair or make-up this year. It was too similar to last year. Very light and natural. I think VS is becoming too heavily influenced by the high fashion world. Their "look" reminds me of something you would see during Milan fashion week. I miss their trademark sexiness - the long, bombshell hair, gorgeous tanned glowy skin and sultry make-up. It wasn't awful, but not very sexy IMO. And Miranda Kerr wearing that gorgeous 2.5 million dollar fantasy bra walking down the runway to "Moves like Jagger"?!?! I didn't get any of the performances this year. I love all the artists as artists, but their song choices combined with the show didn't really make sense to me. I mean 2006- Justin Timberlake- SexyBack, 2008-Usher - What's Your Name, 2010 - Akon - Angel...2011 - Jay-Z and Kanye - N****s in Paris?!? lol The outfits were a little over the top sometimes, and some of the girls aren't as memorable to me. Overall, it looked like a nice show but I'm still waiting for VS to return to the standard of the 2005/2006/2007/2008 shows in terms of the models, the make-up, the hair, the outfits and the music!

I think everyone agrees that Esti is gorgeous But yes, she's defintiely put on some noticeable weight compared to 2-3 years ago. They photoshop her body in almost all her spreads. I don't think she is chubby or unhealthy. Her skin still glows, and her hair is still amazing She looks really happy too.. The only thing is her weight gain (to me) is alot more in the stomach area and her face...and that might be unhealthy. For example, Bar Refaeli is not your typical skinny model either but her waist is small so you can tell she works out and is a healthy girl. I think Esti's body was perfect in the 2009 SI. She had beautiful curves, and her waist was smaller. So maybe she isn't the healthiest right now. I don't think it's being mean or cruel to say that. The modelling world has hard standards to measure up to, and maybe Esti just wants to enjoy her life -- Eat what she wants, and not exercise so much! Every guy that sees her thinks she's near perfect though! Sometimes I do wish for her to be a bit thinner and book more campaigns, because she's one of the most beautiful models I've seen! I love how this girl can go from no make-up wearing jean shorts and t-shirt in Brazil, to a stunning Tom Ford gown in London And she looks amazing in both !! And I love to see her doing more high fashion work and editorials and not just swimsuits and lingerie. I've always thought her body was so perfect for it because she's so long and lean but she has hips and a butt. It's not something you see everyday in high fashion Great to see her being more versatile. She's definitely my favourite model! By a mile. Thanks everyone!
