  4. Von Follies By Dita Von Teese For Target Today was the day I had eagerly been waiting for, the launch of the Von Follies By Dita Von Teese For Target collection! Firstly, it must be said how incredibly lucky we are to receive this amazing collaboration between Dita Von Teese and Target in Australia. Dita Von Teese is a world icon, and I am sure that America, along with many other countries around the world, would have given anything to have also received her collection! The actual collection itself did not disappoint, and it was everything that Dita said it would be and more. The pieces in the collection are of amazing quality, the prints are so classic and gorgeous, and the price range is very affordable! My pick? The spot/mesh pieces in the collection, which are very, subtle, feminine and just too adorable!
  5. Lingerie Queen Dita Von Teese rebels against skinny models by Andy Burns March 08, 2012 BURLESQUE queen Dita Von Teese has rejected at least 12 aspiring lingerie models for being too skinny. Von Teese spoke out yesterday after two days of auditioning models for Saturday night’s Target Von Follies on Docklands’ Central Pier runway. “Of course I want to show all different types and more voluptuous girls,” she said. “The times where we said no to models were mostly when they were too skinny. “We gave a lot of models the axe for being too skinny …quot; we probably turned away a dozen.” Von Teese said use of super-slim models set a bad example. She said: “It’s important to me we show curvaceous women and fuller-figured girls … lingerie looks terrific on girls with shape.” Designer Gwendolynne Burkin also has lamented being offered models too thin for her clothing. “How on Earth am I supposed to sell to my real clients when agencies and show organisers cast models who are too skinny?” the local designer posted on Facebook yesterday. “Please know I do not cast these skinny girls.” Burkin said of the skinny look: “It’s nuts and so obvious they are underweight, but it keeps happening. “I know this debate comes up every fashion week and they blame designers. I get annoyed when people think it’s the designers dictating the casting.” She said of one model yesterday: “The girl was so slender, there were bones.” Burkin said agencies encouraged models to be slimmer. “I know a prominent model who has an eating disorder … she is so slender and as long as she keeps getting booked she’ll keep doing it,” she said. L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival director Graeme Lewsey said the industry had made great strides on healthy body image and the festival had made particular efforts to weed out unhealthy girls. There would be no skeletal girls on his runways, he said, adding: “I’d go straight to the agency and say ‘she is not looking as she should’.” It was at the discretion of designers and brand ambassadors to choose who they wanted on the runway.

  7. Episode: Fae Day It's La Shoshain, the holiest of Fae holidays, when all Fae, Light and Dark, put aside their animosities and celebrate together to commemorate the legendary Blood King. No violence may be used today, and Fae of warring clans not only lay down their arms, but may lay down together. Bo has even set aside her differences with the Fae world to drink in good company. Trick's bar is bustling with jubilation when the harp player stops suddenly and lets out an unearthly wail. Trick explains to the bewildered Bo and Kenzi that the woman was a banshee, and her cry foretells the death of a member of the Five Families. The only way to find out which member it is, is to force the information from the banshee. Dyson accompanies Bo, always seeming as though he's keeping a secret, and they learn that the doomed man's name is Sean Cavanaugh. Kenzi has accidentally cozied up to Sean, unwitting of his fate, and her loyalty kicks in to demand that he make and complete a bucket list. First up: Reconciliation with his brother. Bo is the only Fae not aligned with Light or Dark, and she is the only one who can seek out Sean's brother. But when they find Liam, a member of the Dark Fae, he tells Bo that the betrayal worked the other way around, which is why Liam took a hit out on Sean. Bo, Kenzi and Dyson interview Sean at the house, where he spills the whole story: Liam stole $30,000 from a firm represented by the family, and Sean couldn't stand the dishonesty and reported him. Just then, they must fight off a goblin attack (goblins are not beholden to the laws of La Shoshain) and hurry to get Sean and Liam in the same room. The meeting is volatile, but when Bo invokes Agallamh, the whole room falls silent. Agallamh is a rule that demands all parties discuss rather than fight, but unbeknownst to Bo, the invoker of Agallamh forfeits her life if peace is not attained. She seek's Trick's help and sets up the meeting, but it looks as if neither brother is willing to admit fault. Just then, Kenzi realizes that their father, whom she met when Sean went to say goodbye, has a gambling problem and may be the one who stole the money. Bo stalls for time while Kenzi brings him to the Agallamh , and gets him to admit he did it to cover up his addiction and save the family name. Kenzi thinks she may have saved Sean's life, but as the reconciled brothers walk away, a human, burned by Liam's evil financial finagling, shoots at Liam, and Sean leaps in front of the bullet. Peace has been achieved, but a banshee's wail is never wrong. Dyson and Trick discuss the ordeal, and the former asks the latter if he would have used his own blood to save Bo, had it come to that. Trick is silent until Dyson toasts to him, the Blood King, evoking a grumble and curse from the secret regent.
  8. Season 2 Episode 9: When I Think About You I Shred Myself In this week's episode, the Reaper trains (and torments) Sally, Josh and Julia find themselves making eyes at each other around the hospital, and Aidan breaks the "being human" pact by harboring a very wounded Henry in the house he shares with Josh and Sally. Depressed but committed, Sally approaches her training with the Reaper in a determined fashion. After getting some help from the Reaper, Sally makes it through her first shredding but still feels unsettled—even more so when Boner shows up looking for Stevie. Now Sally knows for sure that Reaper has been misleading her. He told her that Stevie killed Boner and needed to be shredded to balance the scales. Sally turns to Zoe for advice and decides to attend Zoe's next ghost support meeting. When the Reaper uses this opportunity to kill all of the ghosts in the group, Sally panics and runs away. Later, Zoe's boyfriend Nick shows up to help but when the Reaper grabs him too, Sally is forced to confront a horrible reality: There is no Reaper. It's Sally who has developed a dark side and killed all the ghosts around her. Confused about what's happening, Josh and Aidan imprison Sally until they can figure out what to do with her. When Josh's old friend Stu shows up unexpectedly, Josh is excited and surprised. Stu, who was killed by the same werewolf who turned Josh, has been haunting Ithaca all this time before working up the courage to track down Josh. After an awkward but welcome reunion, Stu notices the reemerging sparks between Josh and Julia and advises Josh to keep his distance. Fat chance. Very quickly, Josh and Julia are rediscovering the sparks that led them to like each other in the first place. That, plus their long history, makes it hard to stay away from each other. After a late night drink with Julia, Josh is able, just barely, to walk away from Julia … at least momentarily. He returns seconds later and takes her home. Oddly, Josh wakes up with no knowledge of what he's done. Turns out that Stu used Josh's body to sleep with Julia, the love of his life, leaving Josh with the tough choice to pull Julia closer or push her away. Aidan nurses Henry back to health the only way he knows how, by providing fresh blood in the form of two very human vixens who offer themselves to Henry willingly—once Aidan compels them, of course. Henry regains his strength while Aidan remembers how Henry once helped him survive the ravages of war. When they first met ages ago, Henry removed bullets from Aidan's body and protected him from other suspicions patients in a makeshift war hospital. In gratitude, Aidan turned Henry to help him become a hunter instead of always being the prey. Back in present day, the women who are servicing Henry suddenly snap out of it and see Henry for the skinless monster he is. Aidan makes the instant decision to kill them, making the situation much worse for him, and heightening tensions between he and Josh.
