Mahi, I agree...I loved the Interview photos because they were different. Can someone print the entire interview from Vanity Fair? And can someone interpret the interview from Interview Russia? Pleeeeeeeaaaase????

I'm really looking forward to the interview. I think Linda is finally going to set a lot of things straight here. Too bad it's not in English.

So good to see you here, Mahi! Whether one loves or hates that outfit, Linda certainly stood out. I, too, liked the whole look. I remember reading an interview where Linda talks about how she enjoys wearing a designer's entire look, exactly as the designer envisioned and presented it on the runway. Thanks to everyone for the recent contributions to this thread. Spiral, I really enjoyed watching that Isaac Mizrahi S/S 1990!

I could not have stated this better myself. So true. This used to make me angry, particularly at "that other fashion forum", but now, more than anything else, it makes me very sad. Linda just doesn't deserve that. No one does. It's mean and it's cruel. In regards to Naomi, this really isn't the thread to talk about her, but I will say that I don't agree with your assessment of her. In an industry - the entire world even - where racism is rampant, and was worse back then - who really knows? If we were in a perfect world where girls like Naomi had an equal opportunity like the white girls, I think Naomi's career would have been very strong, whether she was part of The Trinity or not. IMHO, there are very few that owned the catwalk like Naomi did. She was electrifying.

^Very interesting. Thanks, versustito. I read in one of the online articles regarding this event that Karl and Linda sat at a table, talking at length. I can't help but wonder if she's going to do be doing more work for him. Perhaps a campaign? A fashion editorial? Or better yet, a walk down his runway? Hmmm... Love your point about working with the newer models/photogs and giving her a new audience. Linda did this for awhile after her comeback in 2001, but then her loyalties seemly returned solely to Meisel again. Then, she gained weight and worked for L'Oreal. Sorry, I realize L'Oreal is a big, glossy contract, but in my opinion, it's so commercial and lacks creativity. I don't know, these days, I really like when she works for others (i.e. Mert & Marcus for Talbots campaign). But maybe I should keep my mouth shut, otherwise the powers-that-be might be reading this and she'll never get an Italian Vogue cover again. Reaching out to the younger generation would truly be beneficial for Linda, but I wonder if she even cares. She rarely does interviews, and when she does them, she reveals little. I get why she doesn't like them, because the interviews tend to backfire on her. But she does have a public relations issue which will probably keep her from ever being as popular as Kate Moss or Naomi Campbell. For example... 1) The 10k joke, told to Jonathan Van Meter in an interview with American Vogue in 1990. In 2001, she frustratingly stated that the 10k joke would probably be engraved on her tombstone. And she's probably right. It will never go away. 2) The botox admission to American Vogue in August 2006. Let's face it, Linda is brutally honest, and was probably botoxing for years, like many other models, but her bold confession made her a media target, and a target to those who don't understand botox. Since that confession, how many times have we read and heard others say, "Her face doesn't move", "She's had a lot of plastic surgery", etc. The fans who actually pay attention to her work know this is all a crock, but the haters are going to hate, no matter what. 3) The divorce trial of 2012. I'm so sick of it, I don't even want to go into it. So even though Anna Wintour, Gaultier, Dolce & Gabbana, Steven Meisel and company will continue to sing Linda's praises as one of the greatest models of all time, she'll never be popular with the public, the younger generation of fashion fans, and certainly will never be as popular as Kate Moss or Naomi Campbell. Let's face it, in the public eye, money is the greater sin over drugs and assault convictions. And again, maybe Linda doesn't care what people think. And speaking of Vogue Italia, I think you're right about pairing a 90s super with a model of today on their covers, because they seem to be the only Vogue out there that would dare to experiment with such a pairing. I really like what Meisel did in the June issue in the main editorial with that group of classic models. Carolyn Murphy is much younger than some of them but it worked beautifully. I totally get your point, and I certainly agree with you in regards to that Cavalli campaign. But I think a very creative fashion editor and photographer can come up with a gazillion creative scenarios for models of different ages, body shapes and backgrounds. They just need to make the effort. A great example of a great mix of older and younger models is the "Silent" editorial, shot by Meisel for VI in August 2008. Yikes...it's late. Time to hit the bed, kiddies!

^Thanks so much, michelabella!! Linda always pulls off the androgynous look well! Love it!! Spiral, thanks for those classic Chanel runway videos! Great memories! And Linda for I-D! Haven't seen her in I-D since...what...the early 2000's? Something to look forward to in September! And yes, she will more than likely get her own cover and this is typical with I-D, and will also likely get her own editorial. Although, I wouldn't mind seeing her mix it up with the newer girls in an editorial. I don't think there is anything wrong with this. And Michelabella, I would *LOVE* to see Linda paired with Giselle in an editorial. I realize they have two very different body types, but a very creative stylist and photographer can make this work! And I always love to see Linda working for other photographers besides Meisel. Don't get me wrong, I loved her latest editorial in Vogue Italia but I want to see her work with the newer photogs, too!

^Thank you, Mahi! Love the suit! Linda and Peter Morton were at an exhibition opening in New York this past Wednesday and I can only find a small pic on the Patrick McMullan site. http://www.patrickmcmullan.com/site/event_....aspx?eid=40990 (scroll down) Has anyone seen photos?

Mahi, thank you for the photos. Beautiful! But if you look closely at Linda's eyes, she looks exhausted. I'm sure she did a gazillion tricks to liven up her look for this evening. And for the most part, it worked. But for the hardcore Linda watchers like myself, she's not quite herself. And I'm sure she didn't make it to the after party. Regarding the two articles you posted, I've read so many half-truths about the trial that are so ridiculous. Only two people know what really happened, Linda and Pinault. Linda was set to testify on Monday, with more revealing details sure to be brought forth by attorney inquisition, but closed-door settlement was the best for everyone involved, especially little Augustin. Thank goodness. For better but likely worse, the media sensationalism of this trial is going to haunt Linda for years, much like the 10k joke she made in way back in 1990. Sadly, in the eyes of the general public, this will be remembered much more than her astonishing work in front of the camera.

Thanks so much! Linda must be exhausted and ready to drop! I'd be ready for a vacation from everything for while after the past week. Mahi, you're very sweet and I welcome you with open arms. The truth is that I'm not very active here, but mainly because Linda has always been my favorite model and she became more inactive after she had Augustin and was involved with L'Oreal (which I never really cared for). I was involved with the "other board" and other now-defunct fashion forums for a long time. I've seen some crazy things from both the younger and older model/fashion fans. I think the key word is *respect*. Respect for the opinions, respect for other models. Models come in different shapes, sizes and packages, and people have their faves. It's when fans go overboard with their devotion to their faves and put down other models that it really becomes a problem. And then the moderators aren't always perfect either. At the "other" board, there were a couple of moderators that were actually trolls in disguise. I don't know if they are still around and I don't now if there are "moderator trolls" at this board but if left unchecked, these types of mods can not only create a sense of divisiveness on a forum, they also drive away many participants. Staying on the topic of Linda, I'm so glad she seems to be back on the fashion scene again, and so glad this court drama is over. I know that having some of her personal details layed out publicly must have been like murder for her, because she is such a private person. Oh, and didn't Linda look so lovely and elegant last night at The Met?

^Muchas gracias!! Thank you!! And Mahi, a million thanks for that HQ. She looks stunning in that Prada gown. Quite frankly, I was really surprised she even showed up to the Gala this year, considering the past five days of her life were a bit insane. Much love to everyone that participates here. Everyone seems so nice and respectful here at Bellazon. The "other board" seems so...hostile.

Thank you for the candids, Tito. Tito, her L'Oreal contract had already ended in either late 2010 or early 2011. No one knows the reasons. It's shameless speculation on my part, but I think she gained too much weight during her time at L'Oreal.

Thank you Punk and brazilianaffair for those photos. Never seen either one of them before. Brazilianaffiar, where did you find that backstage photo from the Vanity Fair session?? I really like it, and seeing Mario Testino in action was nice, too. Here are a couple of candids that were shot yesterday (Sunday, May 6). They were taken at the Karen Kilimnik Opening at The Brant Foundation Art Study Center in Connecticut, USA. One is with Peter Morton, Linda's current boyfriend (press keeps incorrectly referring to him as her ex), and the other is with Stephanie Seymour.

^Gorgeous! She does looks great, and she has lost a lot of weight. She almost looks too thin in some pics. I haven't seen Linda this skinny in years. The style to the family court is somewhat muted and demure, but then one does need to look more serious to be taken seriously at this type of proceeding.

She's NOT asking for that much. It's media sensationalism to sell headlines. It was also stated in court yesterday that no sum was ever requested. She is asking for extra money mainly for the protection of Augustin. And the extra protection is needed not necesarily because she is a famous face, it's because New York Post leaked the identity of the father and because the father is so rich, young Augustin makes a perfect kidnapping target. If this were my son in this type of situation, I'd be very worried for his safety. Linda is going to testify today and it will be interesting to hear what she has to say.
