  6. "Chambre avec vue sur la guerre" by Edith Bouvier (32 years old) who's a french journaliste based in paris i know and someone i deeply love. her book has been published in french (for the moment) there are just few weeks ago and is about the 10 days she spent in Syria and where she and co-workers have been victims of attempted murders (she received several wounds at the left leg) and where american journalist Marie Colvin (56) and photographer Remi Ochlik (28) have been killed by syrian army in the city of Homs. later, she discovered with the help of free syrian army that syrian gorverment asked them dead or live with all their journalist's stuff againts 1 millions of dollars. of course their deaths would been more than accommoditative because they would accused the free syrian army of edith and other journalists murders including Marie and Remi... fortunately with the help of rebels Edith and other journalist including photographer William Daniels escaped from syria. and while everybody in france thought Edith was trapped in a bed without moved she was disguised and with free syrian army on a motorbike with an ak47 in a water tunnel lager of 1m on 1.6m and of 3km who where their last secret escape to leave homs and with syrian army just after them. and her health was so bad and her leg so hurted that syrian doctors thought before she left the "hospital" that she certainly would die of an heart attack because of her state of weakness. anyway, her book is really good, very interesting and beautiful. here William's and Remi's work. http://www.bellazon....60#entry3014831 http://www.bellazon....60#entry3053776

Anna and Marc defeat the monster and shortly afterward Anna recovers, although the doctor reveals that Marc's condition is deteriorating. Anna's father returns home and both parents seem determined to get over their marital difficulties. The family goes on holiday by the sea. Anna, who had drawn a lighthouse into her sketch as a refuge from the sinister house, and had also supplied a helicopter to rescue Marc, visits a lighthouse on the edge of a cliff at the seaside and sees a helicopter overhead while Marc's voice invites her to join him. 11. Eyes of Laura Mars (1978) american movie directed by Irvin Kershner plot : Laura Mars (Faye Dunaway) is a glamorous fashion photographer who specializes in stylized violence. Amid controversy over whether her photographs glorify violence and are demeaning to women, Laura begins seeing, in first person through the eyes of the killer, real-time visions of the murders of her friends and colleagues. John Neville (Tommy Lee Jones), the lieutenant in charge of the case, shows Laura unpublished police photographs of unsolved murders that very closely mirror Laura's fashion shoots. Laura's visions continue, including visions of the killer stalking her and continuing to murder those around her. In the interim, Laura and Neville inexplicably fall in love. The murders continue as Laura's various colleagues, acquaintances and past romantic interests come in and out of focus as potential suspects or victims, until a final confrontation between Laura and the killer occurs. At her apartment, Laura is affected by one last vision of the killer, who has now come for her. The killer attempts to break in through her front door, but Laura deadbolts it before he/she can gain entry. Upon hearing her distress, Neville (who had been on his way to meet her) breaks through her balcony window. Neville then precedes to tell Laura they have caught the killer, a troubled colleague of hers named Tommy, and also begins detailing an elaborate explanation of Tommy's motivations and back story. Knowing Tommy well, Laura recognizes this as a lie and that Neville himself is, in fact, the killer. As Neville details more of his own story, it is implied that he may have multiple personalities. Because of this, and his love for her, he cannot bring himself to murder her and instead asks that she end his life. She shoots him dead, calling the police as we close in on her eyes-- the eyes of Laura Mars.

With the help of the newly-appointed Collector Anita Williams (Karthika), Maya shoots a video of these baddies accepting millions of rupees as commission from some Arab businessmen, who are there to sign some business deals with the State Government. Maya immediately goes to Radharamanan and shows him the clip. Radharamanan is thrilled and agrees to telecast it, after discussing it with the Board of Directors. Somehow Nazar, Divakaran and others come to know of this and they go after Maya, in order to get from her the memory card containing the clipping. On the very same day that R.C.Shekhar goes to the U.S, Maya is abducted by Nazar and group. The kids are baffled. Anita Williams, Father Chanthakkadan and Radharamanan know who are behind this, but nothing can be done without sufficient evidence. And then Devan, who had seen R.C. Shekhar conducting the experiment on the rabbit, steals into Shekhar's lab and drinks the potion. He becomes invisible and sets out to save Maya. Devan did manage to save Maya, but due to the medicine overdose, he turns into a gigantic monster and has to leave Maya and the children and makes his abode in the deep ocean.

  19. Of Freaks and Men (1998) russian movie directed by Aleksey Balabanov plot : In Russia, during the early 20th Century, a group of pornographers who take and distribute photographs of young women being spanked decide to branch out into film. You know that old myth about members of primitive cultures not wanting their photographs taken because they believe it will steal their soul? Well in this film it appears the photographs have stolen the souls of those behind the camera as well. Alexei Balabanov's film is an inscrutable, unsettling depiction of the effects of pornography on a variety of people. It features such uncomfortable images as the maid offering her breast to a pair of Siamese twins, their blind mother lifting her skirts for an intruder in her home, and the casual shootings of various characters. Its sepia photography and stilted style makes it look like a relic of a bygone age. The meaning of all this remains unclear. Is Balabanov saying that all technology ends up being corrupted? Or that pornography degrades everyone who comes into contact with it? Or is it a film about the class struggle? I get the impression that you can read as much into all this as you wish. It certainly stays in the mind, though http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgs3O5Sltig
  20. Made in Britain (1982) british movie directed by Alan Clarke plot : Trevor is a 16 year old, sometimes-violent skinhead with no regard for authority, and would rather spend his time stealing cars than sitting in the detention centre to which he is sent. His social worker, Harry Parker, tries to do his best, but Trevor is only interested when there's something that he can get out of it. The authorities within the centre try to make Trevor conform to the norms of society, but he takes no notice, and would rather speak in a torrent of four-letter words and racial abuse.
  21. Time of the Gypsies (1988) yugoslav movie director by Emir Kusturica plot : Perhan lives with his devoted grandmother Khaditza, his lame sister Danira and his dissolute uncle Merdzan. He wants to marry a girl named Azra, but her mother won't allow it, as Perhan is the illegitimate son of a Slovenian soldier who had an affair with Perhan's late mother. Ahmed, the "Gypsy sheik," comes to the village with his brothers. Merdzan loses his clothes playing cards with Ahmed's brothers, and comes home desperate for money so that he can repay. It is raining and not finding any money, he accuses the grandmother of hiding the money from him and lifts the frame of the house up (using a rope and a truck), so that it is suspended in mid-air as the rain comes down on Perhan, his grandmother and Danira. Very soon after, Khaditza is summoned to use her powers to save Ahmed's sick son, Roberto, which Khaditza does. For repayment, she proposes a deal with Ahmed - to pay for Danira's leg to be healed at a hospital in Ljubljana. Perhan goes with Danira, promising his grandmother not to leave her, but Ahmed asks where will he stay and convinces him to go to Milan. At first Perhan wants to make money honestly, but after being dragged through the mud, Perhan begins stealing and squirreling money away in a shack. After being double-crossed by his brother Sadam, Ahmed appoints Perhan boss of the operation. Now relatively rich, Perhan goes home, where he is enraged to find Azra is pregnant. Perhan refuses to believe her. They marry with the condition that she sell the baby. Perhan is also disappointed to find that the house Ahmed promised to build him is not being built at all, and that Danira was not operated on, but forced to be a beggar as part of Ahmed's money operation. On their wedding night, Azra tells him the child is theirs, and was conceived when they made love on the Feast of St George. Still wearing her wedding dress, Azra dies after giving birth to a boy while levitating mid-air. Because Ahmed leaves with the baby, which we discover later is also named Perhan, he is raised by Ahmed's crew. After four years of searching, Perhan reunites with Danira in Rome, who leads him to Perhan Jr., whom Perhan now accepts as his child. Perhan drops the children off at the train station, promising to meet up with them after buying an accordion for his son and a present (sponges) for grandmother. The boy tells him he is mad at him because he will not return, and he will not get an accordion. Perhan assures him he will, "Cross my gypsy heart," but immediately runs out of the station to settle the score with Ahmed, who is about to be married. Perhan arrives at the wedding and kills Ahmed with a fork, using his telekinetic powers. He also kills Ahmed's brothers, but he is in turn killed by Ahmed's new wife. At the funeral, the grandmother passes out drinks to everyone and Perhan Jr. goes outside the house, peers through the window at his dead father, breaks the glass and steals the coins put on his father's eyes.
  22. i totally forgotten it. it has been the first movie and book of stephen king i read. the fact is, i just read 2/3 of the story because this is a big novel, often cut in 3 parts and where i lived in the south of france the first cultural store was at 1 hours by car and what i found in the shops near to my parents home was very limited. result i bought the 3rd part of the novel 2 years after the two first parts and it wasn't the same publisher so the story wasn't stopped at the same "level". and i didn't really remembered all the things i read so i have never read the last part and i can't say if what i actually remember come from the movie or the book. i think i prefered the book of course and thought it was darker but i can't if it was good. sorry. and yes, i should read them again but problems they all are in my parents house and when i visite them i can't take the books because there are years ago my parents have bought a new bibliotheque and now all my stephen king collection (and philip k dick) is locked there and impossible to open the door. every time i spend 10 or 15 minutes trying to open it but nothing work and i often asked them to repair it but because they never read books, they don't give a f*ck about this and i'm blocked. i spent all the summer to make caving so not really had the time for this kind of stuff but i hope this winter i could. the last month i've been near to watch running man but apparently i missed nothing. critics are not really good! have you watched it ?
